Abstract

PT. Gunawan Dianjaya Steel Tbk (GDS) memproduksi plate baja secara rutin, dengan karakteristik berbeda–beda sesuai pemesanan konsumen. Dalam penelitian ini, dikhususkan plate baja di PT.GDS berukuran tebal 12 mm, lebar 2500 mm, dan panjang 13000 mm. Pengendalian pada tahap proses rolling, karena merupakan proses inti pembentukan slab baja menjadi plate baja. Jika tahap rolling terjadi kesalahan maka menghasilkan plate baja yang cacat disebut reject (plate tidak sesuai standart pemesanan). Permasalahan pada proses yang tidak optimal mengakibatkan cacat plate (cacat bisa lebih dari 1 jenis cacat dalam plate baja). Data yang digunakan adalah data sekunder tentang karakteristik atribut periode Desember 2015 dan Januari 2016 terdapat 6 jenis cacat sebagai variabel. Pengendalian kualitas dilakukan pada proses rolling menggunakan peta kendali p multivariat. Bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi proses produksi tahap rolling. Dari hasil evaluasi pada tahap proses rolling Desember 2015 dan Januari 2016 untuk proporsi cacat berbeda, pada peta kendali memberikan hasil bahwa kedua bulan tersebut proses belum terkendali. Jenis cacat yang dominan bulan Desember 2015 hampir semua jenis cacat proporsinya sama, akan tetapi Januari 2016 cacat yang men dominasi adalah chamber dan scale. Diketahui faktor-faktor penyebab cacat diantaranya yaitu kinerja mesin, bahan baku dan faktor manusia (lelah) ============================================================================================PT. This study, devoted in PT.GDS sized steel plate thickness 12 mm, width 2500 mm, and length of 13000 mm. Rolling process control at this stage, because it is the core of formation process the slab into a steel plate. If error occurs, rolling stage produces a steel plate flawed called reject (not according to standard booking). Problems in the process isn’t optimal results in defective plate (defect can be more than one type of defect in the steel plate). The data used is secondary data about the characteristics of the attributes period December 2015 and January 2016 there are 6 types of defects as a variable. Quality control is done on a rolling process using multivariate control chart p. Aiming to evaluate the rolling stage of the production process. From the results of the evaluation stage of the rolling process in December 2015 and January 2016 for the proportion of different disabilities, on a control chart provides results that these two months have not been controlled process. The dominant types of defects in December 2015 almost all types of disabilities the same proportions, but in January 2016 the men dominance is disabled chamber and scale. Unknown factors cause of disability among which the performance of machinery, raw materials and human factors (fatigue).
