Abstract
Pengukuran resistivitas menggunakan arus listrik searah merupakan salah satu metode untuk mendapatkan informasi mengenai material yang ada di bawah permukaan bumi. Resistivitas, selain diukur, juga bisa dihitung menggunakan persamaan yang menyatakan hubungan antara beda potensial dan besarnya arus. Penggabungan hasil pengukuran dan perhitungan menimbulkan satu permasalahan yang disebut invers problem. Permasalahan invers bersifat ill-posed, karena itu diperlukan metode khusus untuk mendapatkan solusi yang tunggal dan smooth. Forward problem timbul dari proses penyelesaian invers problem, yaitu permasalahan mendapatkan beda potensial jika besar arus dan resistivitasnya diketahui. Forward problem pengukuran resistivitas menyatakan kaitan antara beda potensial, besar arus, dan resistivitas melalui persamaan yang berdasar pada hukum Ohm. Untuk bisa digunakan, forward problem dibentuk dalam formulasi lemah dan didiskritkan. Dalam Tugas Akhir ini, forward problem didiskritisasi dilakukan dengan menggunakan metode elemen hingga. Setelah menjadi bentuk diskrit, permasalahan berubah menjadi menyelesaikan sistem persamaan linear.

Resistivity measurements using direct current is one method to obtain information about existing material beneath the earth’s surface. Resistivity can also be calculated using an equation expressing the relation between the potential difference and current. Merging the results of measurements and calculations lead to a problem called inverse problem. Inverse problems are ill-posed. It required a special method to obtain a single and smooth solution. Forward problem arising from the settlement process inverse problem, namely the problem of getting potential difference if the value of current and resistivity are known. Forward problem resistivity measurements stated links between potential difference, current, and resistivity by an equation which is based on Ohm’s law. To be used, forward problem is formed in the weak formulation and discretized. In this final project, forward problem is discretized using the finite element method. After becoming a discrete form, the problem turns into solving systems of linear equations. Conjugate gradient method is used to get the inverse matrix in that system of linear equations.
