Abstract

Eceng Gondok merupakan bahan ramah lingkungan dan ekonomis yang dapat digunakan sebagai bahan dasar dalam pembuatan difuser. Karakteristik Eceng Gondok yang memiliki kandungan serat yang tinggi dapat dimanfaatkan untuk pembuatan panel difuser. Difuser sangat penting dalam desain interior akustik yang dapat meningkatkan kualitas distribusi energi bunyi pada ruangan. Makalah ini menyajikan penelitian koefisien hamburan difuser Eceng Gondok dengan struktur berbeda pada ruang dengung. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa semua struktur difuser memberikan efek hamburan baik pada rentang frekuensi (250-1000 Hz), tetapi tidak dapat memberikan hamburan dengan baik pada rentang frekuensi (2000-4000Hz) ketika diffuser tegak lurus ke sumber suara. Rectangular diffuser memiliki sifat hamburan yang paling baik dibandingkan dengan sawtooth dan triangle diffusers, sementara triangle diffuser masih lebih baik daripada sawtooth diffuser. ======================================================================================================= Water Hyacinth is an economical and eco friendly material that can be used as a diffuser. Characteristics of water hyacinth which has high fiber content can be utilized to produce diffuser panel. Diffuser is very important in the design of the interior acoustics that can improve the quality of the distribution of sound energy in the room. This paper presents investigation on the measurement scattering coefficient of water hyacinth diffusers with different structures in a reverberation chamber. The results showed that all structure diffusers provide good scattering effects at frequency range (250-1000 Hz), but can not provide good scattering at frequency range (2000-4000Hz) when the diffuser perpendicular to the sound source. Rectangular diffuser had the most excellent scattering properties compared with sawtooth and triangle diffuser, while triangle diffuser was better than sawtooth diffuser.
