Abstract
mengikuti pedoman yang disediakan oleh Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). Sampai tahun 2009 desain perkerasan Bandara didasarkan pada AC 150/5320-6D. Pedoman desain ini memanfaatkan grafik untuk menentukan ketebalan perkerasan. Grafik dipilih diantara sejumlah grafik berdasarkan pada pesawat terbang desain. Sebagian besar bandara di Indonesia dirancang menggunakan metode ini. Dengan mengganti metode grafik dengan metode software, ada pertanyaan apakah perkerasan yang dirancang dengan metode grafik masih memadai dalam memberikan layanan jika perhitungan didasarkan pada metode perangkat lunak. Tugas akhir ini mencoba untuk mengevaluasi perkerasan bandara yang dirancang oleh grafik dan membandingkan persyaratan ketebalan itu apabila menggunakan software. Dalam mencapai tujuan penelitian ini, data dari pergerakan pesawat di Juanda Internasional Airport, karakteristik perkerasan yang diperoleh dari data PCN, jenis pesawat yang diperlukan sebagai data untuk kedua metode. Hasil analisis didapatkan perbedaan ketebalan perkerasan pada perhitungan perkerasan lentur yaitu 127cm menggunakan metode grafis dan 115cm menggunakan metode FAARFIELD, sedangkan perhitungan perkerasan kaku, tidak mempunyai perbedaan yang signifikan pada kedua metode yaitu sebesar 76,5cm menggunakan metode grafis dan 77cm menggunakan FAARFIELD.

esigning airport pavement follows the guidelines provided by Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). Until year 2009 the design of airport pavement is based on AC 150/5320- 6D. This design guidelines utilize charts to determine the pavement thickness. The chart is selected amongst number of charts based on the design aircraft. Most of airports in Indonesia were designed utilizing this method. By replacing the charts method by software method, there is question raise whether the pavements that were designed by charts method still adequate in providing service if the calculation is based on software method. This final year project attempts to evaluate the airport pavement that was designed by charts and comparing the thickness requirement of it by utilizing software. In achieving the objective of this study, the data of aircraft movements in Juanda Internasional Airport, the pavement characteristic that is obtained from the value of PCN , the aircraft types were required as entry of both methods. The Analysis results we found differences in the thickness of the pavement in the calculation of flexible pavement is 127cm using graphical method and 115cm using FAARFIELD. The calculation of rigid pavement, does not have much difference in the two methods. The result are 76,5cm using graphical methods and 77cm using FAARFIELD.
