Abstract
Pada saat balita mengalami keluhan kesehatan, balita akan mengalami
gangguan dalam aktivitas sehari-hari dan tumbuh kembangnya. Orang tua akan
berupaya untuk menyembuhkan keluhan kesehatan tersebut. Salah satu upaya
tersebut dapat berupa tindakan mengobati sendiri keluhan kesehatan atau dapat
disebut dengan swamedikasi. Namun, pada pelaksanaannya swamedikasi dapat
menjadi sumber terjadinya medication error karena keterbatasan pengetahuan
masyarakat akan obat dan penggunaannya. Faktor terbesar yang berpengaruh
terhadap tindakan swamedikasi terhadap balita sakit adalah faktor pengetahuan
orang tua. Oleh karena itu, perlu dibangun sebuah media edukasi tindakan
swamedikasi yang interaktif dan efektif. Terdapat beberapa tahapan dalam
penelitian ini, antara lain identifikasi aspek edukasi, perancangan dan pembangunan
media edukasi, dan pengujian usabilitas kepada responden. Hasil dari penelitian ini
berupa media edukasi virtual berbasis android yang menjelaskan tatalaksana
perawatan balita sakit. Dalam media edukasi ini digunakan media virtual video dan
kartu gejala yang berfungsi sebagai marker sebagai media untuk menunjukkan
tatalaksana perawatan balita sakit. Dari hasil pengujian usabilitas menunjukkan
bahwa media edukasi ini cukup usable dengan nilai usabilitas 77,5. Pengujian
komparasi juga memberikan hasil bahwa media edukasi memberikan pengaruh
signifikan terhadap pemahaman pengguna terkait perawatan balita sakit

By the time a toddler suffering from health complaints, toddlers will
experience disruption in daily activities and growth. Parents will attempt to cure
the health complaints. One such effort may be an act self treatment or health
complaints can be referred to self-medication. However, in practice, selfmedication
can be the source of the occurrence of medication errors due to limited
public awareness of the drug and its use. The biggest factor affecting the selfmedication
action against childhood illness is the factor of parental knowledge.
Therefore, it is necessary to build an education media of self-medication on
childhood illness which is interactive and effective. There are several stages in this
study, among others, the identification of aspects of education, the design and
construction of educational media, and usability testing to the respondent. The
results of this study in the form of android-based-virtual education media which
explains the procedure of treatment for sick infants. This educational media used
in the video as the virtual media and card of symptoms that serves as a marker as
a medium to show the treatment of treatment of sick infants. Usability test results
showed that media education is quite usable with a value of 77.5. Comparative
testing also provides results that media education has significant impact on the
understanding of the associated treatment for sick infants
