Abstract

Belimbing wuluh merupakan tanaman yang
mengandung senyawa metabolit sekunder, seperti tanin,
saponin, flavonoid dan terpenoid. Penelitian ini bertujuan
untuk mengetahui pengaruh ekstrak daun belimbing wuluh
(Averrhoa bilimbi) terhadap mortalitas dan perkembangan larva
Spodoptera litura. Metode yang digunakan untuk penelitian
ini adalah metode maserasi. Parameter yang diamati
adalah mortalitas, perkembangan pembentukan pupa, serta
kandungan antifeedant. Konsentrasi ekstrak yang digunakan
0%, 10%, 20%, 30%, 40%, 50%, 60%, 70%, 80%, dan 90%.
Larva uji yang digunakan sebanyak 20 ekor.
Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan konsentrasi 50%
telah dapat membunuh larva S. litura. Nilai LC50 hasil
analisis probit sebesar 84% (LC50-84,2%). Ekstrak daun
belimbing wuluh tidak berpengaruh terhadap
perkembangan larva ditunjukkan dengan lama hidup stadia
rata-rata 11-12 hari.

Cucumber tree is a plant that contains secondary
metabolites, such as tannins, saponins, flavonoids and terpenoids.
This study aimed to determine the effects of cucumber tree
(Averrhoa bilimbi) leaf extract on mortality and development of
Spodoptera litura larvae. The method used for this research is the
method of maceration. Parameters measured were mortality, the
development of the formation of the pupa, and the amount of
antifeedant. The extract used 0%, 10%, 20%, 30%, 40%, 50%,
60%, 70%, 80% and 90%. Larvae tests used as many as 20
individuals.
The results showed a concentration of 50% has been able
to kill the larvae of S. litura. LC50 values probit analysis results of
84% (LC50-84,2%). Cucumber tree leaf extract has no effect on
larval development of long-life stadia indicated by an average of
11-12 days.
