Abstract
fotomikroskop OptiLab. Identifikasi endoparasit mengacu pada
studi referensi. Prevalensi (prev.), dan intensitas (I) endoparasit
ind. per ikan dan Camallanus sp. (prev=35%; I=6.1 ind. per
terinfeksi Pallisentis sp. saja (prev=30%; I=10. ind. per ikan).

The study was aimed at comparing the prevalence and
intensity of endoparasite between cultured freshwater and wild
snakehead fish (Channa striata). The guts from 20 fishes from
cultured freshwater and 20 from wild snakehead fish (a total
length of 25±3 cm) were collected and preserved with 0.5%
buffered formalin, and then observed using a stereo and a
compound microscope that was connected with OptiLab
photomicroscope camera. Endoparasite identification were
determinded according to the references. The number of
endoparasites were calculated based on the number of
endoparasite found in fish gut. It was found that wild snakehead
fish were consist of higher number of invididu, prevalence (prev.)
and intensity (I) of endoparasite i.e. Pallisentis sp. (prev=65%; I=
34.3 ind. per fish and Camallanus sp. (prev=35%; I=6.1 ind. per
fish) comparing to the cultured freshwater snakehead which was
infected by Pallisentis sp. only (prev=30%; I=10. ind. per fish).
