Abstract
Kenangan adalah ingatan yang akan menjadi cerminan manusia dalam menghadapi keadaan kedepannya. Sehingga, momen akan kenangan itu sendiri harus dibangkitkan. Arsitektur sebagai media membangkitkan momen tidak hanya sebatas intrusi ruang semata. Namun, juga mengajak pengguna dan penghuni untuk berpartisipasi dalam membangkitkan momen tersebut. Karena ruang bukanlah sesuatu yang statis melalui material yang disajikannya. Participatory design yang dipopulerkan Alejandro Aravena pada 2016 dapat menjadi salah satu proses merancang bahkan membangun untuk membangkitkan momen terhadap kenangan itu sendiri. Sehingga dalam project ini, participatory design proccess akan digunakan sebagai media redefinisi kembali suatu area yang sebelumnya merupakan kawasan dengan image yang dipandang buruk masyarakat.

Memory is a human remembrance skill that would be a human reflection to face the reality even it is hard to do. So, the moments should be present to trigger the memories. Architecture as a moments presenting media shouldn’t be a space intrusion. But architecture should engage the user and the hostage to presents the moment itself. Because the space is not only a static building that enveloped by the beauty materials. Participatory design that popularized by Chilean architect, Alejando Aravena at 2016 can be one of several design process to trigger the moments to present the memory itself. So, in this project, Participatory design process will reimaging a red district area that got a bad reputation from the citizens.
