Abstract
Energi listrik sebagai kebutuhan pokok di Indonesia dapat dipenuhi dengan adanya pemabangkit listrik. Pembangkit listrik di Indonesia sebagian besar memanfaatkan tenaga uap dengan bahan bakar batubara (PLTU). Sebagian besar PLTU di Indonesia masih berteknologi sub-critical dimana efisiensi pembangkit ratarata berkisar 30%-40%. Untuk mendapatkan performa dan efisiensi lebih tinggi maka perlu adanya studi untuk mengembangkan teknologi pembangkit listrik baru, salah satunya pembangkit listrik tenaga uap supercritical. Pembangkit supercritical adalah pembangkit dengan tingkat keadaan steam diatas titik kritis atau diatas suhu 374°C dan 221 bar. Di Indonesia sudah ada beberapa pembangkit dengan teknologi supercritical salah satunya adalah pembangkit listrik tenaga uap Unit 3 Paiton Energy. Paiton unit 3 dapat menghasilkan daya keluaran bersih sebesar 815 MW pada pembebanan 100% dengan efisiensi yang mampu dicapai sebesar 43%. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk membuat pemodelan dan simulasi pembangkit supercritical ditiap pembebanan. Simulasi dilakukan dengan menggunakan perangkat lunak Cycle-Tempo. Pemodelan dan simulasi dilakukan berdasaran data heat balance diagram pada Paiton Unit 3. Hasil simulasi dengan variasi pembebanan akan dibandingkan dengan data heat balance dan aktual operasi pembangkit.

Electrical energy as a basic requirement in Indonesia can be satisfied with their electricity power plant. The power plant in Indonesia mostly utilizes steam power with coal fuel (coal fired steam power plant). Most of the steam power plant in Indonesia still using sub-critical technology which the average generation efficiency ranges from 30% to 40%. To obtain higher performance and efficiency it is necessary to study to develop new power generation technologies, one of them is supercritical steam power plant technology. Supercritical steam power plants are power plants with steam above the state level or above the critical point temperature of 374°C and pressure of 221 bars. In Indonesia, there have been several power plants with supercritical technology one of which is a steam power plant unit 3 Paiton Energy. Paiton 3 can produce a net output power of 815 MW at 100% loads. The resulting efficiency of Paiton 3 is 43%. This research aims to make the modeling and simulation of supercritical steam power plants in each load operation. Simulations were done using software Cycle-Tempo. Modeling and simulation are done by the heat balance diagrams data from Paiton Unit 3. The results of the simulation by varying loads operation will be compared with the data of heat balance and actual plant operations.
