Abstract

Keluarga perkotaan mulai sadar untuk hidup sehat dikarenakan kualitas udara yang semakin memburuk akibat jumlah populasi, pertumbuhan kendaraan bermotor dan kuantitas industri. Polusi udara juga berpotensi terjadi di dalam ruang bahkan berada diposisi ketiga faktor lingkungan yang memengaruhi kesehatan manusia dengan kualitas udara dalam ruangan 2-5 kali lebih buruk daripada di luar ruangan. Produk Air purifier mampu menjernihkan udara ruangan serta meminimalisir keberadaan bakteri, jamur, virus, mikroorganisme dan lainlain, namun terdapat beberapa permasalahan diantaranya tingkat keyakinan terhadap kinerja produk, kesulitan pelayanan pemeliharaan dan relasi antara produk dengan pengguna. Metode yang digunakan adalah wawancara mendalam, eksplorasi produk yang sudah ada, story telling, persona, affinity diagram, dan prototipe serta dilakukan berbagai studi serta pengujian prototipe. Hasil tersebut dikembangkan menjadi sebuah desain yang dapat menjawab permasalahan. Pada akhir penelitian, dihasilkan desain air purifier dengan konsep memberikan umpan balik terkait kinerja produk, kemudahan pelayanan pemeliharaan dan keterhubungan antara pengguna terhadap produk sejenis sehingga diharapkan produk dapat berkomunikasi kepada pengguna melalui informasi yang diberikan.

Urban families began consciously to live a healthy life because of deteriorating air quality due to the number of population, the growth of motor vehicles and industrial quantity. Air pollution also has the potential to occur in the third chamber is positioned even environmental factors that affect human health with the quality of indoor air 2-5 times worse than outdoors. Products air purifier able to vent the room as well as minimizing the presence of bacteria, fungi, viruses, and other microorganisms, but there are several issues including the level of confidence in the performance of the product, maintenance services and relationship difficulties between products with users. The method used is in-depth interviews, exploration of existing products, storytelling, persona, affinity diagrams, and prototypes and conducted various studies and prototype testing. These results were developed into a design that can address the problem. At the end of the study, produced air purifier design with the concept of providing feedback related to product performance, ease of maintenance services and connectivity between users against similar products so that the product is expected to be able to communicate to the user via the information provided.
