Abstract
Pengasapan ikan di Kenjeran, Surabaya menyisakan limbah
berupa jeroan, ekor, dan sirip ikan yang masih mengandung
nutrisi terutama protein, sehingga dapat dimanfaatkan sebagai
pakan ikan. Pakan merupakan faktor penting dalam pertumbuhan
ikan. Pembudidaya biasanya menggunakan pelet ikan komersial,
namun harganya relatif mahal. Limbah pengasapan ikan sebagai
bahan baku yang murah, dapat dibuat menjadi pelet. Tujuan dari
penelitian ini adalah memanfaatkan limbah pengasapan ikan
sebagai bahan pelet untuk pertumbuhan ikan lele dumbo.
Rancangan penelitian yang dilakukan adalah Rancangan Acak
Lengkap 1 Faktorial. Metode yang digunakan adalah pembuatan
pelet, yang kemudian diberikan pada ikan lele dumbo dengan
kombinasi K.0, K.1, K.2, K.3, dan K.4 yang dipelihara selama 30
hari. Data yang diambil antara lain pertumbuhan, tingkat
kelangsungan hidup, FCR (Konversi Pakan), dan data kadar
protein pada pelet dan daging ikan. Analisa data pertumbuhan
ikan lele dilakukan dengan metode statistik Anova one way. Hasil
analisa menunjukkan bahwa perlakuan pada K.4 memiliki
pertumbuhan panjang dan berat relatif dan kadar protein dalam
daging yang paling baik yaitu 72,64 % dan 488,97%, serta kadar
protein sebesar 20,97 %. Tingkat kelangsungan hidup sebesar
98%, FCR paling efisien dan kadar protein pelet tertinggi ada
pada K.4.

Fish curing in Kenjeran, Surabaya produces waste such as
fish offal, tail and fins which still has some nutrients, especially
protein content, so it can be used as fish feed. Fish feed is an
important factor in fish growth. Farmers usually use commercial
fish pellets, but the price is relatively more expensive. Curing fish
waste which is less expensive can be used as materials for pellets.
The purpose of this study is to utilize curing fish waste as a
material fish pellets for growth African catfish. Experimental
design of this research is Completely Randomized Design (CRD)
with 1 factorial. The pellets varieties were of K.0 , K.1, K.2, K.3,
and K.4. The pellets were given to the fish for 30 days. Data of
growth rate, survival rate and FCR and protein level data of the
pellet and the fish meat were analyzed by one-way ANOVA
statistical method. The analysis shows that the K.4 treatment has
a best result of relatively growth of length (72.64%)and relatively
growth of weight (488,97%). Protein level of fish meat is 20.97%.
The survival rate of 98%, FCR most efficient pellets exist is K.4..
