Abstract

Resin akrilik adalah salah satu material fiber reinforced
composite yang mulai banyak digunakan dalam bidang industri
saat ini. Material ini digunakan sebagai salah satu material untuk
pembuatan gigi tiruan. Penelitian sebelumnya tentang analisis
pengujian laju keausan resin akrilik berpenguat serat pada dental
prosthesis pada kondisi dry slidding menunjukkan hasil nilai laju
keausan berkurang dengan adanya penambahan serat. Namun,
saat ini belum ada kajian mengenai laju keausan resin akrilik
berpenguat serat pada kondisi wet sliding dengan variasi pola
susunan serat yang berbeda. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk
mengetahui keausan yang terjadi pada material gigi tiruan dari
resin akrilik berpenguat serat dengan kondisi terendam cairan
saliva buatan.
Analisis tribologi dilakukan untuk menganalisis aspek–
aspek dari segi gesekan dan karakteristik keausan antara kontak
dua permukaan. Metode yang dilakukan adalah pengujian
ekperimental dengan menggunakan alat uji keausan tribometer
tipe pin on disk. Material untuk pin dan disk menggunakan
material dari resin akrilik. Disk diputar dan bergesekan dengan
pin yang telah diberi beban tertentu. Variabel tetap pengujian ini
yaitu panjang lintasan sejauh 505,92 m, beban sebesar 2 kg, dan sliding speed sebesar 0,07 m/s. Perlakuan gesekan dilakukan pada
resin akrilik berpenguat serat dengan variasi susunan serat 0%,
7% berpola 6 mm serat acak, dan 7% berpola 6 mm serat teratur.
Material tersebut direndam dahulu dan pada saat pengujian
keausan dikondisikan terendam dalam cairan saliva buatan.
Kemudian, spesimen uji tersebut dianalisis laju keausannya dan
diamati gambar mikro dari permukaan spesimen tersebut.
Hasil dari penelitian tentang laju keausan spesifik
material gigi tiruan dari resin akrilik berpenguat fiberglass
dengan variasi susunan serat penguat berupa resin akrilik dengan
0% serat, 7% serat teratur, dan 7% serat acak adalah data
pengujian berupa nilai laju keausan spesifik sebesar 0.0126
mm3
/Nm yang terdapat pada material resin akrilik tanpa penguat
serat yang memiliki nilai specific wear rate terbesar. Sedangkan
nilai laju keausan yang terkecil yaitu pada material resin akrilik
berpenguat 7% serat berpola teratur dengan nilai specific wear
rate sebesar 0.0006 mm3
/Nm. Hasil foto mikro dengan perbesaran
100 kali menunjukkan bahwa mekanisme keausan yang paling
dominan terjadi adalah keausan abrasif dan keausan fatigue.

Acrylic resin is one of the fiber reinforced composite
material that is widely used in industry today. This material is
used as a material for the manufacture of dentures. Previous
research on the wear rate test analysis acrylic resin with
reinforcement fibers on the dental prosthesis in dry conditions
sliding shows the results of the wear rate is reduced with the
addition of fiber. However, there is currently no study on the wear
rate acrylic resin with reinforcement fibers in condition of wet
sliding with a variation of the configuration of different fibers.
This study aims to determine the wear that occurs in denture
material of acrylic resin with reinforcement fibers with artificial
saliva liquid on a submerged conditions.
Tribology analysis was conducted to analyze the aspects
in terms of friction and wear characteristics between the two
contact surfaces. The method used is an experimental test using
the test tool wear Tribometer type of pin on disk. Material for the
pin and disk using a material of acrylic resin with reinforcement
fibers. Disk rotated and rub with a pin that has been given a
certain load. These tests remain variable path length as far as
505.92 m, a load of 2 kg, and the sliding speed of 0.07 m/s.
Friction treatment performed on acrylic resin with reinforcement
fibers with fiber composition variation of 0%, 7% 6 mm fiber patterned random, and 7% 6 mm fiber patterned regularly. The
material is soaked in advance and at the time of testing the wear
conditioned submerged in the liquid artificial saliva. Then, the
test specimens are analyzed and observed pattern wear with micro
image of the specimen surface.
Results of research on the wear rate of the specific
material dentures from acrylic resin with reinforcement fiberglass
with a variation of the arrangement of reinforcing fibers such as
acrylic resin with 0% fiber, 7% fiber regularly, and 7% of the
fibers randomly is the test data in the form of the value of wear
rate of the specific of 0.0126 mm3
/Nm contained in acrylic resin
material without reinforcement fibers that have the greatest value
of specific wear rate. While the value of wear rate of the smallest
of the acrylic resin material reinforced 7% fiber patterned
regularly with the value of specific wear rate of 0.0006 mm3
/Nm.
The results of micro photograph with a magnification of 100
times showing that the dominant mechanism of wear that occur
are abrasive wear and fatigue wear.
