Abstract

Salah satu tahapan dalam pembuatan kerupuk adalah proses penjemuran. Proses ini biasanya dilakukan dengan penjemuran dibawah sinar matahari secara langsung. Metode seperti ini akan bermasalah ketika tiba tiba turun hujan maka sebagian kerupuk akan terkena air hujan. Selain itu penjemuran secara langsung juga kurang higienis karena rentan terkena debu dan kotoran. Untuk mengatasi permasalahan itu diperlukan metode pengeringan dengan ruangan tertutup. Langkah awal untuk mleakukan perencanaan ini adalah melalui tahap studi literatur dan observasi. Setelah itu dilakukan perencanaan dilanjutkan dengan pemilihan bahan dan perhitungan biaya yang diperlukan dan didapatkan kesimpulan Perencaan oven pengering kerupuk dan mie ini berkapasitas 15kg dengan dimensi lemari oven memiliki dimensi Panjang 80 cm, lebar 60 cm, dan tinggi 170 cm. Sementara tungku yang digunakan berdimensi 55cm x 55cm x 55cm. Rancangan oven pengering ini menggunakan system konveksi paksa dan menggunakan bahan baku stainless steel grade SS304. Oven pengering ini memiliki 1 buah lemari oven, 1 buah tungku, dan 1 buah blower.

One of the steps in making crackers is the drying process. This process is usually done by drying under direct sunlight. This method will be problematic when it suddenly rains, so some crackers will be exposed to rain. Besides that direct drying is also less hygienic because it is susceptible to dust and dirt. To overcome this problem, a drying method with a closed room is needed. The initial step to carry out this planning is through the stages of literature study and observation. After that the planning is carried out followed by the selection of materials and calculation of the costs required and conclusions obtained. The planning of this cracker drying oven has a capacity of 15kg with the dimensions of an oven cabinet having dimensions of 80 cm in length, 60 cm in width, and 170 cm in height. While the furnace used has dimensions of 55cm x 55cm x 55cm. The design of this drying oven uses a forced convection system and uses SS304 grade stainless steel raw materials. This drying oven has 1 oven cabinet, 1 furnace, and 1 blower.
