Abstract

Penelitian sintesis ligan dan kompleks Ni(II) dengan ligan
2-metil-4,5-difenil-1H-imidazol bertujuan untuk mengetahui cara
sintesis dan karakterisasi kompleks yang terbentuk. Ligan 2-metil4,5-difenil-1H-imidazol telah disintesis dengan prekursor benzil,
ammonium asetat dan asam asetat glasial. Kompleks Ni(II) dengan
ligan 2-metil-4,5-difenil-1H-imidazol disintesis dengan
perbandingan mol logam dan mol ligan 1:3. Formula kompleks
diperkirakan dari analisis kadar Ni dalam kompleks dengan
Sepektroskopi Serapan Atom (SSA) adalah [Ni(II)(2-metil-4,5-
difenil-1H-imidazol)3(H2O)3]Cl2•6H2O. Analisis dengan metode
termogravimerti menunjukkan ada setengah H2O dalam tiap mol
kompleks, dengan demikian formula kompleks yang mungkin
adalah [Ni(II)(2-metil-4,5-difenil-1Himidazol)3(H2O)3]Cl2•6H2O). Data sepektar FT-IR pada kompleks
menunjukkan adanya pergeseran serapan pada gugus O-H, N-H
dan Ni-N yang menandakan gugus fungsi tersebut terkoordinasi
pada ion pusat Ni2+.Spektra UV-Vis kompleks menghasilkan
puncak serapan pada panjang gelombang 324 nm. Hasil Uji
toksisitas LC50 sebesar 295,12 ppm menunjukkan bahwa senyawa
kompleks tersebut bersifat tidak toksik.

The aim of the research is to synthesis and characteristize
of ligand and complex of Ni(II) with 2-methyl-4,5-dipenhyl-1Himidazole as ligand. 2-methyl-4,5-diphenyl-1H-imidazole ligand
was synthesized using benzile, ammonium acetat and glacial acid.
Complex of nikel(II) with 2-methyl-4,5-diphenyl-1H-imidazole
have been synthesized 3:1 mole ratio of metal to ligand. The ligand
complex formula which by predicted from the result of % nickel in
complex using Atomic Absorption Spectroscopy (AAS) and the
result of complex formula is [Ni(II)(2-methyl-4,5-diphenyl-1Himidazole)3(H2O)3]Cl2•6H2O. The thermogravimetry indicated that
the complex compound has the possible complex is [Ni(II)(2-
methyl-4,5-diphenyl-1H-imidazole)3(H2O)3]Cl2•6H2O. The data of
the spectroscopy complex compound showed that there is a shift
from O-H, N-H and Ni-H functional groups and it became evidence
that these functional group formeda coordination bond with Ni2+
.
The UV-Vis spectroscopy data showed that there is a transition
peak in 324 nm. The LC50 of the complex compound is 295,12 ppm
indicated that has not toxicity effect in each mole of complex
compound
