Abstract
Pada penelitian ini telah dilakukan amobilisasi logam krom dari
limbah electroplating Desa Ngingas dengan menggunakan
geopolimer dari abu layang PT IPMOMI. Variasi ukuran ayakan
fly ash yang digunakan adalah 0.074 mm, 0.149 mm dan 0.297
mm. Adapun sampel limbah diambil dari empat titik yang berbeda
di Desa Ngingas. Kuat tekan tertinggi dihasilkan oleh geopolimer
dengan bahan dasar fly ash yang di-shieving dengan ukuran 0.074
mm yaitu sebesar 37 MPa. Leaching dilakukan pada geopolimer
yang mempunyai kuat tekan terbaik. Metode leaching yang
digunakan adalah TCLP (Toxicity Characteristic Leaching
Procedure). Setelah dilakukan analisis kandungan krom total
terhadap leachate ternyata tidak ditemukan kandungan krom di
dalamnya. Hal ini kemungkinan disebabkan kandungan krom
total yang terlalu kecil sehingga tidak mampu dideteksi oleh
instrumen SSA (Spektrofotometer Serapan Atom). Akan tetapi
berdasarkan hasil analisis kuantitatif dengan SEM-EDX,
persebaran ion logam krom total tersebar secara merata pada
sampel geopolimer. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa ion logam krom
total dapat diamobilisasi oleh geopolimer dengan baik.

This study has been conducted immobilization total chrom metal
ions from electroplating waste of the Ngingas village by using
geopolymer from fly ash of PT IPMOMI. Variations in shieving
of the fly ash which used was 0.074 mm, 0.149 mm and 0.297
mm. The waste samples taken from four different points in the
Ngingas village. The highest compressive strength of geopolymer
produced by the base material of fly ash which shieved by size of
0.074 mm that is equal to 37 MPa. Leaching is done on that
geopolymer has the best compressive strength. Leaching method
used is the TCLP (Toxicity Characteristic Leaching Procedure).
After the analysis of total chromium content of the leachate was
not found to contain chromium in it. This is likely due to the total
chrome content is too small that can not be detected by the
instrument AAS (Atomic Absorption Spectrophotometer). But
based on results of quantitative analysis by SEM-EDX, the
distribution of total chromium metal ion is spread evenly on
geopolymer samples. It shows that the total chromium ion can be
immobilized by geopolymer well.
