Abstract

Mikroalga merupakan organisme fotosintesis mikroskopis
yang ditemukan di lingkungan air laut dan air tawar. Pertumbuhan mikroalga dipengaruhi oleh faktor abiotik yaitu salinitas, kandungan nutrient dan nilai pH. Peneitian ini bertujuan mendapatkan gambaran pola pertumbuhan mikroalga Chloreloid pada cekaman abiotik berupa cekaman salinitas, cekaman pengurangan nutrient serta cekaman pH. Mikroalga yang teramati pada penelitian ini merupakan jenis mikroalga Chloreloid. Hasil dari penelitian dari berbagai cekaman salinitas, cekaman nutrient dan cekaman pH. Cekaman salinitas diatas 25-35‰ mengakibatkan penurunan kepadatan sel dari 177,6x106 sel/ml menjadi 73,66x106 sel/ml, Pada cekaman nutrient, ketika mikroalga tidak diberi nutrient berupa nitrat dan
phospat jumlah sel mikroalga sebesar 1,20 g/L sedangkan jika diberi nutrient jumlah selnya meningkat sebesar 1,88 g/L. Sedangkan pada cekaman pH dapat mengakibatkan pergeseran fase eksponensial dari hari ke 10 menjadi hari ke 9 dan mengalami penurunan kepadatan sel secara tajam setelah fase eksponensial akibat meningkatnya nilai pH pada medium.

Microalgae is a microscopic photosynthetic organism which is found in the environment of sea water and fresh water. Microalgae growth is influenced by abiotic factors, namely salinity, nutrient content and pH value. This research aims to get a picture of the growth pattern of Chloreloid microalgae in abiotic stress in the form of salinity stress, nutrient reduction stress and pH stress. The microalgae observed in this study were Chloreloid microalgae. Results from studies of various salinity
stresses, nutrient stresses and pH stresses. Salinity stress above 25-35 ‰ results in a decrease in cell density from 177.6x106 cells / ml to 73.66x106 cells / ml, in nutrient stress, when microalgae are not given nutrients in the form of nitrates and phosphate the number of microalgae cells is 1.20 g / L whereas if given nutrients the number of cells increases by 1.88 g / L.
Whereas the stress of pH can result in a shift in the exponential phase from day 10 to day 9 and a sharp decrease in cell density after the exponential phase due to increased pH in the medium.
