Abstract

Data WHO (World Health Organization) menyebutkan terdapat 17 juta kasus stroke baru yang tercatat tiap tahunnya dan di dunia terjadi 7 juta kematian yang disebabkan oleh stroke. Stroke mengakibatkan gangguan neurologis serius, seperti berkurangnya kemampuan motorik anggota tubuh dan otot, kognitif, visual dan koordinasi secara signifikan. Rehabilitasi stroke salah satunya menggunakan metode Motor Relearning Program (MRP), dimana pasien diajari kembali kemampuan motorik yang dulu pernah bisa dilakukan sebelum terserang stroke.
Proses monitoring fungsi koordinasi motorik pada rehabilitasi stroke selama ini hanya dalam pengamatan kemampuan gerakan. Metode ini memiliki akurasi yang kurang terukur. Penggunaan teknik yang obyektif penting untuk menentukan diagnosis dan prognosis diperlukan terkait pengambilan keputusan rehabilitasi klinis yang efektif.
EEG (Electroencephalograph) adalah alat yang mampu memberikan informasi tentang sinyal listrik pada cerebral cortex otak. EEG bisa untuk memantau proses monitoring rehabilitasi stroke terkait fungsi koordinasi motorik. Belum banyak penelitian tentang ekplorasi parameter penting yang dapat digunakan sebagai dasar dalam evaluasi proses rehabilitasi menggunakan sinyal EEG.
Oleh karena itu perlu dilakukan pengukuran secara objektif untuk mendapatkan pola koordinasi motorik pada pasien stroke menggunakan alat EEG. Jadi pasien diinstruksikan melakukan gerakan tangan menggenggam dan menekuk sesuai metode MRP sambil dilakukan perekeman sinyal otaknya menggunakan EEG. Hasil dari perekaman dilanjutkan pemrosesan sinyal dan ekstraksi fitur berdasarkan domain waktu untuk mengetahui pola sinyal EEG orang stroke. Setelah itu dilakukan analisis fitur statistik pola gerakan pada EEG. Analisis mendalam dilakukan perbandingan hasil antara rehabilitasi tahap awal sampai dengan tahap akhir rehabilitasi stroke antara pengukuran dengan EEG dan penilaian manual oleh dokter.
Pada penelitian ini disimpulkan bahwa perkembangan motorik pasien mengalami kenaikan atau penurunan seiring dengan nilai fitur statistik dari sinyal EEG yang telah direkam.

Data from WHO (World Health Organization) says there are 17 million new stroke cases recorded each year, and in the world, there are 7 million deaths caused by stroke. Stroke results in severe neurological disorders, such as a significant reduction in motor abilities of the limbs and muscles, cognitive, visual and coordination. One of them is stroke rehabilitation using the Motor Relearning Program (MRP) method, where the patient is re-taught motor skills that could once be done before having a stroke.
The process of monitoring the motor coordination function in stroke rehabilitation so far is only in observing the ability of movement. This method has less measurable accuracy. The use of scientific techniques is essential to determine the diagnosis and prognosis needed concerning making effective clinical rehabilitation decisions.
EEG (Electroencephalograph) is a tool that can provide information about electrical signals in the cerebral cortex of the brain. The EEG can monitor the process of stroke rehabilitation monitoring related to motor coordination functions. There has not been much research on the exploration of essential parameters that can be used as a basis for evaluating the rehabilitation process using EEG signals.
Therefore it is necessary to measure objectively to get motor coordination patterns in stroke patients using EEG tools. So the patient is instructed to do hand-grip and bend movements according to the MRP method while recording his brain signals using EEG. The results of the recording are continued signal processing and feature extraction based on the time domain to find out the EEG signal pattern of the stroke person. After that, an analysis of the statistical features of the movement patterns on the EEG was performed. In-depth analysis is carried out comparing the results of rehabilitation between the initial stage to the final stage of stroke rehabilitation between a measurement with EEG and a manual assessment by a doctor.
In this study, it was concluded that the patient's motor development increased or decreased along with the statistical feature values of the recorded EEG signal.
