Abstract
Transformers, terdapat potensi melalui Nusantaranger, sebuah komik asli Indonesia
konsep Super Sentai/ Power Rangers, wajib memiliki robot besar.
Megazordnya

The majority of disassembly robot toy market in Indonesia is dominated by
imported toys. Secretary of the Directorate General of Small and Medium Enterprises
of the Ministry of Industry, Busharmaidi said that the market share is 70% imported
toys and 30 percent are local toys. Therefore many of these toys don’t meet the
standards, even dangerous to health. It’s also in this modern era, Indonesian toys
more to the traditional design and shape than the modern design.
One of them is Nusantaranger, a comic made by a team of local Indonesian
teenager, Shani Budi Pandita with endemic animals and culture of Indonesia concept.
As well as in Japan which has a Gundam and Americans who have Superman, On the
other hand, Nusantaranger did not have Megazord (big robot) whereas in the concept
of Super Sentai, big robot must be owned by the sentai.
From the phenomenon, appears an opportunity to create and make a design of a
Nusantaranger robot toy using assembly concept. Details of Nusantaranger followed
by theme with an addition of Indonesian culture. The shape follows the design and
morphology of endemic animals of Indonesia and the addition of a magnetic material
on each connection/sambungan.
To design Megazord toy for Nusantaranger, the author uses several methods of
analysis in the form of a questionnaire to a number of youth and adults, deep
interviews and laddering to the number of people who are members of the community
as well as lovers of Super Sentai toys and perform artifact analysis of some existing
products. From the observation, was made an imaginary user through the persona
analysis methods.
Main material for the toy is wood that has it value. The transformable collectibles
concept using elastic string for the transform joint, the wood and finishing type as for
it series.
