Abstract
Methanol uptake dan permeabilitas metanol pada
membran komposit kitosan/MMT-asam stearat telah dipelajari.
Uji methanol uptake dan permeabilitas metanol dilakukan
dengan variasi konsentrasi metanol 0, 1, 2, 3, 4 dan 5M. Hasil
analisis methanol uptake menunjukkan penurunan methanol
uptake pada membran seiring dengan kenaikan konsentrasi
metanol. Hal yang sama terjadi untuk analisis permeabilitas
metanol dimana penurunan permeabilitas metanol pada
membran seiring dengan kenaikan konsentrasi metanol. Hasil
analisis menunjukan peningkatan methanol uptake dan
penurunan permeabilitas metanol apabila dibandingkan
dengan membran komposit kitosan/MMT

Methanol uptake and methanol permeability on
chitosan/montmorillonite-stearic acid have been studied. The
methanol uptake and methanol permeability test was
conducted using methanol concentration of 0, 1, 2, 3, 4 and
5M. The results of methanol uptake show that the methanol
uptake on membrane decreases with the increase of methanol
concentration. The results of methanol permeability show that
the methanol permeability on membrane decrease with the
increase of methanol concentration. Compared to the
chitosan/MMT composite membrane, the analysis results show
higher methanol uptake and lower methanol permeability
