Abstract
UKM Empoe Kayoe adalah Usaha Kecil-Menengah yang
bergerak di bidang pembuatan furniture, seperti kursi, meja,
lemari dan lain sebagainya, dengan bahan utama kayu pinus.
UKM tersebut memiliki keinginan untuk membuat furniture
dengan bentuk lengkung agar furniture yang dijual semakin
beragam dan menarik pembeli. Namun, pada umumnya industri
kecil di Indonesia membuat bentuk lengkungan pada kayu dengan
cara manual yaitu dengan menggunakan tenaga manusia,
sehingga berdampak pada kecepatan produksi furniture.
Melalui tugas akhir ini, terciptalah mesin bending kayu
pinus denga radius kelengkungan 100 cm. Mesin ini
menggunakan motor AC sebagai penggerak utama. Daya dari
motor AC kemudian ditransmisikan oleh komponen lain sehingga
menaik-turunkan powerscrew melalui tuas penggerak yang
kemudian menekan kayu hingga melengkung.
Dari hasil perancangan mesin yang telah dibuat, mesin
bending kayu ini menggunakan motor AC dengan daya 1 HP
yang ditransmisikan menuju belt and pulley, gearbox, bevel gear
dan power screw dengan waktu total proses bending selama 89,5
detik

engaged in the manufacture of furniture, such as chairs, tables,
cabinets, etc., with the main ingredient of pine wood. The UKM
have the desire to create furniture with curved shapes that
furniture sold more diverse and attract buyers. However, in
general, small industry in Indonesia make an arch on the timber
by manually, by using human power, so the impact on production
speed of furniture.
Trough this project, created the bending machine of
pine wood with 100 cm of curvature radius was design. The
power of the AC motor is then transmitted by other components
that up and down the powerscrew with cam starter which is then
pressed into curved shape.
From the results of the design of machines that have
been made, this bend machine of wood use AC motor with 1 HP
of the power then transmitted to belt and pulley, gearbox, bevel
gear and power screw with total time of the bend process until
89,5 second
