Abstract

===================================================================== In this modern era, more and more problems are faced by people who live in urban areas (urban). Daily activities that are very dense and fast paced, but are not matched by adequate mobilization capabilities often trigger health problems due to high psychological pressure and poor air quality that is full of pollutants. No wonder so many communities have emerged that campaign for positive things like sports, love for the environment, intake of healthy food, etc. Even consuming lots of Vitamin-C has also become a lifestyle. Tomatoes are often the target of consumption in urban communities to get cheap natural Vitamin-C. In addition to Vitamin-C, tomatoes are also rich in beta-carotene and lycopene as antioxidants that answer the typical needs of urban communities. In this Final Project, a prototype of tomato cultivation will be made that can be implemented by city communities with limited land area and management time. This design combines the concept of greenhouse and IoT-based technology, thus requiring a number of embedded sensors, internet networks, software and other electronic devices. With this IoT-based tomato monitoring technology, monitoring and maintenance of plant conditions can be done remotely. Tomato plants can also be harvested more than once and the yield is fresh because of the appropriate environmental settings for tomato growth. Observations on network feasibility parameters also show that IoT technology for agriculture, especially tomatoes, is very feasible.
