Abstract

Breakdown (kegagalan) adalah suatu fenomena yang terjadi apabila tegangan yang diberikan pada suatu elektroda melebihi batas kuat medan bahan isolasinya. Peralatan tegangan tinggi dapat rusak saat terjadi fenomena breakdown karena munculnya arc (percikan bunga api), suhu yang sangat panas dan karbonisasi. Fenomena breakdown akan ditandai dengan adanya fenomena partial discharge atau peluahan sebagaian saat kondisi pre-breakdown. Berdasarkan kondisi tersebut pengujian ini membahas breakdown voltage development pada elektroda jarum-plat berbasis antena di isolasi udara. Penelitian ini menganalisa variabel jarak antar elektroda dan jenis elektroda jarum yang berbeda. Pengujian dilakukan pada saat awal kondisi pre-breakdown hingga terjadinya breakdown voltage. Data yang didapatkan dari antena akan diolah dan dianalisa menggunakan metode PRPD (Phase Resolved Partial Discharge) dan dibandingkan dengan metode leakage current menggunakan High Frequency Current Transformer (HFCT). Hasil pengujian ini menunjukkan bahwa semakin jauh jarak antar elektroda maka titik breakdown dan arus breakdown yang terjadi akan semakin tinggi, dan variasi bentuk elektroda jarum yang berbeda akan mempengaruhi besarnya nilai magnitudo dan nilai arus breakdown yang terjadi. Sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa loop antenna dapat digunakan untuk mendeteksi fenomena breakdown pada isolasi udara. ================================================================================================================== Breakdown is a phenomenon that occurs when the voltage supplied to an electrode is greater than the limit of the field strength of the insulation material. High voltage equipment can be damaged during breakdown phenomena due to arcs, hot temperatures and carbonization. Breakdown phenomenon can be seen from the partial discharge phenomenon in pre-breakdown condition. Under these conditions the studies discusses the breakdown voltage development studies of needle plane using antenna in air insulation. This final project analyzes the electrode distance variables and different types of needle electrodes. This test is conducted at the beginning of the pre-breakdown condition until the voltage breakdown occurs. The results obtained from the antenna will be process using PRPD (Phase Resolved Partial Discharge) method and compared with the leakage current method using HFCT (High Frequency Current Transformer). The results of this test show that the large distance between the electrodes will make the amplitude breakdown and breakdown current that occurs will be higher value, and variations of different types of needle electrodes will affect the value of the amplitude and breakdown current that occurs. So, it can be concluded that the loop antenna can be used to detect breakdown phenomenon in air insulation.
