Abstract

Produk pupuk NPK kelapa sawit yang berkualitas adalah produk pupuk yang memenuhi spesifikasi mutu yang telah ditetapkan dalam Standar SNI 2801:2010 dan Standar SIRIM. PT. XYZ sebagai salah satu manufaktur pupuk NPK kelapa sawit senantiasa berkomitmen untuk menjaga kualitas produknya. Namun hingga saat ini perusahaan masih sering menerima komplain dari pelanggan terkait tidak tercukupinya kandungan unsur hara, yaitu Nitrogen-Phosphate-Kalium-Magnesium-Boron di dalam produk. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan tujuan untuk meningkatkan kualitas produk pupuk NPK kelapa sawit di PT.XYZ. Agar kestabilan unsur hara ini tetap terjaga maka proses produksi harus benar-benar diperhatikan dengan tujuan untuk meminimalisir variasi produk. Untuk mencapai tujuan tersebut maka dirancang sistem pengendalian proses produksi dengan menggunakan Statistical Process Control. Selanjutnya dirancang suatu proses untuk menghasilkan produk yang robust dengan menggunakan eksperimen Taguchi. Dari eksperimen Taguchi diperoleh hasil optimasi setting level parameter proses dengan kombinasi sebagai berikut: raw material intake 27 mt/jam; water usage 1100 m3/jam; gas usage 100 MMBtu; granulator material temperature 52oC; dryer material temperature 52oC; cooler material temperature 44oC; finish product temperature 39oC; process environment temperature 31oC. Dari hasil perhitungan ANOVA untuk masing-masing unsur hara menunjukkan bahwa kadar unsur hara N tertinggi didapatkan dari variabel finish product temperature 38oC; kadar unsur hara P2O5 didapatkan dari variabel water usage 1000 m3/jam; kadar unsur hara K2O didapatkan dari variabel water usage 1100 m3/jam; kadar unsur hara MgO didapatkan dari variabel gas usage 90 MMBtu; kadar unsur hara B2O3 didapatkan dari variabel water usage 1100 m3/jam dan ukuran fisik granula terbaik didapatkan dari variabel cooler material temperature 42oC. Hasil penelitian ini dapat menekan semaksimal mungkin komplain dari pelanggan karena produk telah memenuhi spesifikasi standar kualitas yang disyaratkan. ================================================================================================================== The quality of palm oil NPK fertilizer products are fertilizer products that meet the quality requirements specified in SNI 2801: 2010 and SIRIM standards. PT. XYZ as one of the palm oil NPK fertilizer manufacturers is always committed to maintain the quality of its products. But until now the company still often receives complaints from customers related to insufficient nutrients namely Nitrogen-Phosphate-Kalium-Magnesium-Boron in the product. This research was conducted with the aim to improve the quality of palm oil NPK fertilizer products at PT.XYZ. So that stability cannot be improved, the production process must be strictly considered with the aim of minimizing product variations. To achieve these objectives a production process control system is created using Statistical Process Control. Then a process is designed to produce strong product using the Taguchi experiment Taguchi experiment obtained the results of the optimization of the process parameter level settings in combination as follows: raw material intake 27 mt/hour; water usage 1100 m3/hour; gas usage 100 MMBtu; material temperature granulator 52oC; dryer material temperature 52oC; cooler material temperature of 44oC; finish product temperature 39oC; process environment temperature of 31oC. From the results of ANOVA calculations for each nutrient showed that N nutrient were obtained from the finish product temperature 38oC; P2O5 nutrient is obtained from the variable water usage of 1000 m3/hour; K2O nutrient is obtained from the variable water usage of 1100 m3/hour; MgO nutrient is obtained from the variable gas usage of 90 MMBtu; B2O3 nutrients are obtained from the variable water usage of 1100 m3/hour and the best physical size of the granules is obtained from the variable cooler material temperature of 42oC. The results of this study can reduce as much as possible complaints from customers because the product meets the quality standard specifications required.
