Abstract
Diperoleh total process lead time dan process time dengan menggunakan diagram value stream mapping current state map. Dari diagram fishbone diperoleh penyebab masalah seperti lack of knowledge, approval, lack of self control, lack of tools, environmental condition, lack of surveillance, miss communication, dan lack of preparation.

PT Pelindo Marine Service (PT PMS) is a company engaged in the service of the port. PT PMS is one of subsidiaries of PT Pelindo III located in Tanjung Perak, Surabaya. One of the business lines of PT PMS is a shipyard that serves to perform ship maintenance. Based on data from PT PMS, the number of vessels carrying out ship maintenance in 2019 as many as 27 vessels while the demand for vessels who want to perform maintenance as much as 37 ships. The purpose of the research is to develop a business process improvement by identifying non-value added activities in order to provide a proposed improvement of the effectiveness aspects of vessel maintenance activities and the efficiency of the vessel maintenance process. The method used in this study is lean Six Sigma with the DMAIC framework. In define the work process of hull painting of the vessel based on the result of priority matrix. Obtained total process lead time and process time by using chart Value stream mapping current state map. The results of analysis using the weighted VALSAT obtained some waste according to the largest weighted waste to the smallest. From the Fishbone diagram acquired causes of problems such as lack of knowledge, approval, lack of self control, lack of tools, environmental condition, lack of surveillance, Miss Communication, and lack of preparation. The cause of the waste was then given eight repair recommendations which were then selected with a low effort – high impact so selected four repair recommendations. Thus the result of the future state map is used to be looked at before and after after the implementation of the repair recommendation.
