Abstract
Emas merupakan logam mulia yang memiliki manfaat ekonomis tinggi baik individu, kelompok maupun negara. Seiring dengan berkembangnya jaman, kegiatan eksplorasi emas meningkat akibat permintaan mineral emas yang juga tinggi. Eksplorasi emas yang dilakukan mempunyai kendala yaitu pada tahap pemetaan lapangan memerlukan biaya, energi, dan waktu yang relatif tinggi. Melihat kendala tersebut, saat ini terus dikembangkan metode untuk memudahkan ekplorasi emas termasuk teknologi sistem informasi geografis. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menghasilkan peta sebaran potensi emas dan peta kelayakan ekplorasi emas di Kabupaten Banyuwangi. Peta sebaran potensi emas dihasilkan dari perhitungan skoring dan pembobotan parameter yang telah dilakukan overlay. Terdapat 4 (empat) parameter yaitu parameter kelurusan , parameter circular feature (struktur melingkar), parameter umur batuan dan parameter formasi batuan. Sedangkan untuk peta kelayakan ekplorasi emas dihasilkan dari perhitungan skoring dan pembobotan peta sebaran potensi emas yang telah dilakukan overlay dengan peta tutupan lahan Kabupaten Banyuwangi. Dari peta kelayakan ekplorasi emas tersebut kemudian dilakukan analisa kesesuaian terhadap peta wilayah pertambangan Kabupaten Banyuwangi yang didapatkan dari Dinas ESDM Jawa Timur. Dari peta sebaran potensi emas yang dihasilkan didapatkan 5 (lima) klasifikasi yaitu tingkat potensi emas sangat tingi, tinggi, cukup, rendah, dan sangat rendah. Untuk tingkat potensi emas sangat tinggi memiliki luasan daerah sebesar 44.982 hektar atau 12% dari luas daerah Kabupaten Banyuwangi sebesar 360.591 hektar. Daerah yang layak dijadikan ekplorasi emas dan sesuai dengan peta wilayah pertambangan Kabupaten Banyuwangi terdapat pada 4 (empat) kecamatan yaitu Kecamatan Pesanggaran, Kecamatan Siliragung, Kecamatan Glenmore dan Kecamatan Kalibaru.

Gold is a precious metal that has high economic benefits both individuals, groups and countries. Along with the changing times, gold exploration activities increased due to the demand for gold minerals which is also high. Gold exploration carried out has constraints, which is that at the stage of field mapping it requires a relatively high cost, energy, and time. Seeing these obstacles, currently methods are being developed to facilitate gold exploration including geographic information system technology. This study aims to produce a map of the distribution of potential gold and the feasibility map of gold exploration in Banyuwangi Regency. Gold potential distribution map is generated from the calculation of scoring and weighting of parameters that have been overlaid. There are 4 (four) parameters, namely structure alignment parameters, circular feature parameters, rock age parameters and rock formation parameters. Whereas the gold exploration feasibility map results from scoring calculations and weighting maps of the potential distribution of gold that has been overlaid with a map of Banyuwangi Regency land cover. From the gold exploration feasibility map, an analysis of suitability for the Banyuwangi Regency mining area was obtained from the East Java ESDM Service. From the map of the distribution of gold potential produced obtained 5 (five) classifications, namely the level of potential gold is very high, high, enough, low, and very low. For the very high level of potential gold has an area of 44,982 hectares or 12% of the area of Banyuwangi Regency of 360,591 hectares. Areas worthy of being explored in gold and in accordance with the mining area map of Banyuwangi Regency are in 4 (four) districts, namely Pesanggaran District, Siliragung District, Glenmore District and Kalibaru District.
