Abstract

This research is focused on analyzing the development of SP well production in the flowstation offshore platform B. This development includes the construction of platforms, piping, and production facilities. The development is based on the design of the SP gas well production operation mode to the existing B flowstation production system. In the new well development project previously only a single design mode of production operation was determined. When the new well is operational there are many problems, such as premature production due to water coning and frequent production shutdowns that result in production losses. To work on the problem so that it does not happen again, the company must undertake a new project to change the design of the new well's operation mode. The project that was carried out was not effective. In the current development project, which is the development of SP well production, a study of the existing process is carried out to bring up the design of production operation modes that can be integrated with existing processes. So that gas from SP wells with a capacity of 53.5 BCF and a gas production rate of 30 MMSCFD can be flowed continuously without experiencing production loss. Through focus group discussions on the existing process, there were 4 alternative designs of the SP well production operation modes, namely: low pressure operating mode; medium pressure operating mode; high pressure operating mode; and high low pressure operating mode. To choose the mode of production operation that will be applied to the development of SP wells, the AHP (Analytic Hierarchy Process) method is used with the following criteria: technology; capital costs; potential loss of production; operating costs; reservoir and workmanship. The results from AHP obtained the chosen alternative, namely the high low pressure operating mode with a value of 32.7% with a large investment cost. The NPV and IRR values are then calculated to measure the economics of the high-pressure production operation mode design, whether or not it can be applied. The result is NPV value> 0, IRR = 31.604%, above the discount rate which means that the design mode of production operation is high low pressure even though high investment costs can be applied to the development of SP well production.
