Abstract
ABSTRACT
In the era of technological advances today, Indonesia is undergoing a period of renewal in all fields by starting to use various types of updated technology. A city can be said to be Smart City if it is complete with basic infrastructure, also has a more efficient and integrated transportation system that increases community mobility.
One step that is generally needed by a city in Indonesia in developing Smart City is to build a Command Center. Command Center is a building that specially designed for centralized and integrated public service. The site located in Kuala Kapuas, Central Kalimantan, raises two issues. The site is located in the city park area, but the government offices especially the Command Center itself has a closed nature that needs a certain level of security. Therefore, how to combine these two opposite types of space while still considering the security side?
To achieve this goal, symbiotic architecture is selected to combine the public space with the Command Center considering the relations of activity and human behavior in it. Applying juxtaposition in the design, combining between government space and public space is the concept to be proposed. Also, to consider the transparency of the Command Center to make a unity between the two different type of function.

Di era kemajuan teknologi saat ini, Indonesia sedang mengalami periode pembaruan di semua bidang dengan mulai menggunakan berbagai jenis teknologi yang diperbarui. Sebuah kota dapat dikatakan sebagai Smart City jika dilengkapi dengan infrastruktur dasar, juga memiliki sistem transportasi yang lebih efisien dan terintegrasi yang meningkatkan mobilitas masyarakat.
Salah satu langkah yang umumnya dibutuhkan oleh sebuah kota di Indonesia dalam mengembangkan Smart City adalah dengan membangun Command Center. Command Center adalah bangunan yang dirancang khusus untuk layanan publik yang terpusat dan terintegrasi. Lahan yang berlokasi di Kuala Kapuas, Kalimantan Tengah, memunculkan dua permasalahan. Lahan terletak di area taman kota, tetapi kantor-kantor pemerintah khususnya Command Center itu sendiri memiliki sifat tertutup yang membutuhkan tingkat keamanan tertentu. Karena itu, bagaimana cara menggabungkan kedua jenis ruang yang berlawanan ini sambil tetap mempertimbangkan sisi keamanan?
Menerapkan jukstaposisi dalam desain, menggabungkan antara ruang pemerintah dan ruang publik adalah konsep yang akan diusulkan sekaligus mempertimbangkan transparansi dari Command Center untuk membuat satu kesatuan antara dua jenis fungsi yang berbeda.Untuk mencapai tujuan ini, arsitektur simbiosis dipilih untuk menggabungkan ruang publik dengan Command Center mempertimbangkan hubungan aktivitas dan perilaku manusia di dalamnya.
