Abstract
Transportasi merupakan hal yang sangat penting dalam kegiatan manusia.
Transportasi sebagai kebutuhan utama manusia terutama untuk mempermudah
berpindah tempat ke tempat yang lain. Salah satu moda transportasi darat yaitu
bus, di Indonesia sendiri khususnya di pulau jawa moda transportasi bus sangat
banyak diminati, alasannya yaitu dikarenakan jalur yang lebih fleksibel
sehingga banyak masyarakat yang menggunakannya.
Saat ini penggunaan transportasi massal semakin menurun terutama moda
transportasi bus, penyebab menurunnya minat masyarakat disebabkan kondisi
ekonomi masyarakat yang semakin baik serta tuntutan gaya hidup yang tinggi
membuat hampir seluruh masyarakat memiliki kendaran pribadi. Waktu yang
kurang konsisten membuat calon penumpang menjadi ragu untuk menggunakan
moda transportasi masal.
Kurangnya keamanan dan kenyamanan fasilitas serta ketepatan waktu
membuat masyarakat lebih memilih menggunakan transportasi pribadi. Bahkan
sekarang sangat banyak sekali dijumpai satu mobil hanya berisi satu orang, jika hal
ini berlanjut maka seiring bertambahnya jumlah penduduk maka kemacetan dimasa
mendatang akan semakin parah dari yang kita bayangkan.
Konsep dari rancangan terminal ini yaitu Respect for User sehingga tiap
elemen pada terminal ini harus berfungsi maksimal bagi penggunanya.
Penggunaan konsep ini bertujuan agar pengguna lebih merasa nyaman lagi saat
berada di terminal sehingga bisa menghilangkan pikiran negatif masyarakat
mengenai terminal yang telah beredar saat ini seperti kejahatan serta pelecehan
seksual.

Transportation is very important in human activities. Transportation as a
major human need, especially to make it easier to move to another place. One of
the modes of land transportation is bus, in Indonesia itself, especially on the island
of Java, bus transportation modes are very much in demand, the reason being that
there are more flexible lanes so that many people use them.
At present the use of mass transportation is declining, especially the mode
of bus transportation, the cause of the decline in community interest is due to the
better economic conditions of the people and high lifestyle demands that make
almost all people have personal vehicles. The lack of consistent time makes
potential passengers become hesitant to use mass transportation modes.
Lack of security and convenience of facilities and timeliness make people
prefer to use private transportation. Even now very many cars are found
containing only one person, if this continues then as the population grows, traffic
congestion in the future will be worse than we imagined.
The concept of this terminal design is Respect for User so that each
element in this terminal must function optimally for its users. The use of this
concept aims to make users feel more comfortable when they are in the terminal
so that they can get rid of negative public thoughts about the terminals that have
been circulating today such as crime and harassment.
