Abstract
Kromium di alam umumnya ada dalam dua bentuk yaitu Cr3+ dan Cr6+. Kromium banyak digunakan pada industri electroplating, industri logam, industri tekstil dan penyamakan kulit juga pada pupuk dan pestisida. Pemetaan konsentrasi pencemar menunjukkan seluruh tanah di wilayah Kecamatan Jetis, Kabupaten Mojokerto mengandung konsentrasi logam kromium melebihi baku mutu TK-C PP 101 Tahun 2014 yang artinya tercemar dan wajib dikelola. Senyawa kromium sangat iritan dan korosif serta bersifat karsinogenik. Bioremediasi merupakan salah satu alternatif pengolahan yang dapat digunakan karena relatif lebih ramah lingkungan juga dapat memperbaiki sebuah lahan tercemar secara menyeluruh. Bacillus subtilis dan Azotobacter S8 merupakan bakteri yang resisten dan dapat digunakan sebagai agen bioremediasi logam berat kromium. Namun, kajian mendalam mengenai pengolahan tanah tercemar di Kecamatan Jetis, Kabupaten Mojokerto belum dilakukan.
Studi pustaka ini mengkaji metode bioremediasi menggunakan bakteri Azotobacter S8 dan Bacillus substillis untuk meremediasi tanah terkontaminasi kromium di Kecamatan Jetis, Kabupaten Mojokerto. Kajian pustaka ini dilakukan dengan menulusuri berbagai referensi yang berkaitan dengan kromium, pencemaran tanah oleh kromium, bioremediasi, bakteri Azotobacter S8 dan Bacillus subtillis serta Kecamatan Jetis, Kabupaten Mojokerto. Literatur didapatkan dari berbagai sumber seperti buku, jurnal, peraturan pemerintah, dokumen pemerintah maupun website. Selanjutnya dilakukan review dan penulisan hasil literatur yang didapatkan untuk mengulas pokok bahasan yang dipilih. Ulasan literatur mengenai pokok bahasan kemudian digunakan untuk menganalisis dan membahas penyelesaian dari permasalahan studi kasus yang dipilih yaitu di Kecamatan Jetis, Kabupaten Mojokerto.
Hasil dari studi pustaka dengan studi kasus ini yaitu potensi kontaminasi kromium pada tanah di Kecamatan Jetis, Kabupaten Mojokerto diakibatkan sektor pertanian sebesar 57,2% dan sektor industri berpotensi 23,6% terhadap luas total Kecamatan Jetis. Kemampuan degradasi kromium pada tanah oleh bakteri Bacillus subtillis lebih baik dari bakteri Azotobacter S8 yaitu sebesar 95- 98% dengan konsentrasi dan waktu kontak yang sama. Prioritas remediasi pada Kecamatan Jetis, Kabupaten Mojokerto dilakukan pada Desa Mojojeblak menggunakan teknik bioremediasi in-situ dengan bioaugmentasi bakteri Bacillus subtillis selama 14 hari dan volume bakteri yang dibutuhkan sebesar 372,6 m3.

Chromium in nature generally exists in two forms namely Cr3+ and Cr6+. Chromium is widely used in the electroplating industry, the metal industry, the textile industry and leather tanning as well as in fertilizers and pesticides. Pollution concentration mapping shows that all land in the Jetis Subdistrict, Mojokerto District contains chromium metal concentrations exceeding the TK- C PP 101 Year 2014 quality standard, which means it is polluted and must be managed. Chromium compounds are very irritating and corrosive and are carcinogenic. Bioremediation is one alternative treatment that can be used because it is relatively more environmentally friendly and can also improve an overall polluted land. Bacillus subtilis and Azotobacter S8 are resistant bacteria and can be used as a heavy metal chromium bioremediation agent. However, an in-depth study of tilled soil management in Jetis District, Mojokerto Regency has not been conducted.
This literature study examines bioremediation methods using Azotobacter S8 and Bacillus substillis to remediate chromium contaminated soil in Jetis Sub-District, Mojokerto District. This literature review was carried out by searching various references relating to chromium, soil contamination by chromium, bioremediation, Azotobacter S8 and Bacillus subtillis bacteria and Jetis Sub-District, Mojokerto District. Literature is obtained from various sources such as books, journals, government regulations, government documents and websites. Then a review and writing of the literature results are obtained to review the chosen topic. Literature review of the subject matter is then used to analyze and discuss the resolution of the selected case study problem in Jetis Sub-District, Mojokerto District.
The results of the literature study with this case study are the potential for chromium contamination in soils in Jetis Sub- District, Mojokerto District due to the agricultural sector by 57.2% and the industrial sector potentially 23.6% of the total area of Jetis District. The ability of chromium degradation in the soil by Bacillus subtillis bacteria is better than Azotobacter S8 bacteria that is equal to 95-98% with the same concentration and contact time. Remediation priority in Jetis Sub-District, Mojokerto District were carried out in Mojojeblak Village using in-situ bioremediation techniques with Bacillus subtillis bacterial bioaugmentation for 14 days and the required bacterial volume was 372.6 m3
