Abstract

Adsorpsi Remazol Brilliant Blue R menggunakan karbon tumbuhan meniran (Phyllanthus niruri L.) sebagai bio-adsorben telah dilakukan. Penelitian dilakukan untuk mendapatkan kondisi optimum dan kapasitas adsorpsi karbon meniran. Penentuan kondisi optimum adsorpsi larutan remasol biru dilakukan dengan empat parameter, yaitu waktu kontak (60; 80; 100; 120; 130 dan 140 menit), massa adsorben (10; 20; 30; 40 dan 50 mg), konsentransi awal (50; 60; 70; 80; 90; 100 dan 110 ppm), dan pH awal (2; 4; 6; 8; 10 dan 12). Larutan hasil adsorpsi diukur absorbansinya dengan spektrofotometer UV-Vis pada panjang gelombang 595 nm. Kondisi optimum adsorpsi zat warna Remazol Brilliant Blue R terjadi pada waktu kontak 120 menit dengan %removal sebesar 96,15%, massa adsorben 40 mg sebesar 96,43%, konsentrasi awal 100 ppm sebesar 96,09%, dan pH 8 dengan %removal sebesar 97,73%. Pada kondisi optimum adsorpsi remazol brilliant blue diperoleh %removal sebesar 97,73% dan kapasitas adsorpsi 24,15 mg/g.

The adsorption of Remazol Brilliant Blue R using bio-adsorben from meniran plant (Phyllanthus niruri L.) carbon has been investigated. The study was conducted to obtain the optimum process conditions and the adsorption capacity of meniran carbon. Determination of the optimum adsorption of the remazol Blue solution was carried out with four parameters, is the contact time (60, 80, 100, 120, 130; 140 minutes), the dose of adsrobents (10; 20; 30; 40; 50 mg), initial concentrations (50; 60; 70; 80; 90; 100; 110 ppm), and initial pH (2; 4; 6; 8; 10 and 12). The absorbance of adsorption solution was measured using a UV-Vis spectrophotometer at a wavelength of 595 nm. The optimum condition of Remazol Brilliant Blue R adsorption occurs at 120 minutes contact time with %Removal of 96,15%, 40 mg adsorbent dose at 96,43%, initial concentration of 100 ppm at 96,09%, and at pH 8 with %Removal of 97,73%. The optimum adsorption method used produces %removal of 97,73% with a adsorption capacity of 24,15 mg/g.
