Abstract

Since the end of the 20th century, there has been a shift in industrial and economic patterns where there is a new concept of economy in the modern economy which is called a knowledge-based economy. In this era, knowledge becomes important to face increasingly competitive global competition. Organizations and companies are required to increase intangible assets by carrying out knowledge-based activities to improve the economy. To answer digital challenges in managing employee knowledge, PT. BNI (Persero) has a Knowledge Management System (KMS) called BNI Smarter. However, BNI Smarter has not been used optimally by BNI employees. Based on the results of an interview with one of the BNI Smarter PICs, the problem of inadequate use with users who still think that learning carried out outside the classroom is still considered not "learning". This problem raises questions regarding BNI employee acceptance of KMS BNI Smarter. This research was made to determine the factors that influence acceptance so that the use of BNI Smarter in the future will increase. The model used in this study is a combination of the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) framework and the Technology Readiness Index (TRI). Data processing was performed using Structural Equation Modelling (SEM). There are 13 hypotheses compiled in this study. Data collection was carried out by distributing questionnaires to 542 BNI employees spread throughout Indonesia. Based on the results of data processing, five hypotheses were rejected. The variables that most influence the actual use of KMS BNI Smarter are OPT, PU, ATU, and BITU.
