Abstract
Dunia digital berkembang sangat pesat, sehingga proses pengiriman dan perolehan data dapat dilakukan dengan mudah dan cepat. Seiring dengan perkembangan tersebut, muncul pula permasalahan, antara lain data yang bersifat pribadi bisa disadap dengan mudah oleh pihak yang tidak berwenang. Salah satu solusi untuk masalah tersebut adalah dengan menggunakan ilmu kriptografi atau steganografi. Kriptografi akan mengubah pesan menjadi bentuk lain, sedangkan steganografi akan menyembunyikan pesan di dalam media lain. Tugas Akhir ini menerapkan kombinasi kriptografi dan steganografi berbasis Transformasi Wavelet Diskrit (TWD) untuk mengamankan pesan. Proses diawali dengan mengenkripsi pesan dan hasil enkripsi akan diamankan dalam citra. Metode ini diterapkan pada pesan dan citra dengan variasi ukuran dan kompleksitas warna. Hasil uji coba menunjukkan bahwa pesan berhasil diamankan dalam semua kondisi. Namun, hanya satu kondisi saat pesan berhasil diekstrak dengan baik, yaitu pada citra grayscale berukuran sedang dengan pesan berukuran 5-20% dari ukuran citra

In this era, digital development has grown rapidly that the
processes of transmitting and receiving data easily and fast.
Regarding this fact, there is a problem appears from it. The
data privately owning by a person individually can be hacked
easily by some kind of bad person. One of the solutions to this
problem is Kriptography or Steganography. Cryptography
will change the messages into another form (code). In this
project, it uses cryptography and steganography based on
Discrete Wavelet Transformation (DWT) for securing
messages. The process begins with encrypted messages and it
will be saved in its image. This method will be applied to the
messages and images with its dimension and color
complexities variation. The result of this method shows that
the security of the message succeeds in all conditions. But,
there is only one condition when the extraction messages the
same as the real messages, that is when using grayscale image
with medium size and messages with a size 5-20% from
image size.
