Abstract

Indonesia merupakan salah satu pasar otomotif paling berpotensi di dunia. Ketertarikan masyarakat terhadap penggunaan kendaraan tentunya menimbulkan persaingan yang ketat antara merek kendaraan yang telah beredar di pasaran. Keberadaan showroom bagi para produsen otomotif merupakan salah satu peluang bisnis yang cukup menjanjikan untuk memamerkan produk dengan lebih informatif. Display akan sangat mempengaruhi minat pelanggan untuk membeli produk tersebut. Display produk yang interaktif menjadi salah satu daya tarik masyarakat terhadap kemajuan di bidang teknologi yang semakin canggih. Salah satu produsen otomotif, Toyota, terus melakukan inovasi dalam menghadirkan showroom yang optimal dan dapat memberi jawaban atas kebutuhan masyarakat. Samarinda merupakan kota perdagangan dimana kebutuhan masyarakat terhadap kendaraan cukup tinggi sehingga keberadaan showroom pada kantor Auto2000 Samarinda sangat dibutuhkan guna menunjang angka penjualan kendaraan merek Toyota di Kalimantan Timur.
Berdasarkan data hasil penelitian yang telah didapatkan melalui observasi kondisi eksisting saat ini dan berbagai literatur studi yang terkait, terdapat beberapa aspek yang perlu diperhatikan guna meningkatkan kualitas dan citra brand Toyota seperti suasana interior showroom serta fasilitas penunjangnya. Hal ini dapat diselesaikan dengan konsep interior eco design yang menerapkan display yang interaktif pada produknya.

Indonesia is one of the most potential automotive markets in the world. Public interest in the use of vehicles certainly causes intense competition between vehicle brands that have been circulating in the market. The existence of a showroom for automotive manufacturers is one of the promising business opportunities for exhibiting more informative products. Display will greatly affect the customer's interest to buy the product. Interactive display of the product is one of the attractions of the people towards advances in increasingly sophisticated technology. One of the automotive manufacturer, Toyota, continues to innovate in presenting an optimal showroom and can provide answers to the needs of the community. Samarinda is a trading city where the people's need for vehicles is quite high so the presence of a showroom in Samarinda's Auto2000 office is urgently needed to support the selling of Toyota brand vehicles in East Borneo.
Based on research data that has been obtained through observing the current conditions and various related study literatures, there are several aspects that need to be considered in order to improve the quality and image of the Toyota brand such as the atmosphere of the showroom’s interior and its supporting facilities. This can be solved by eco design interior concept that applies interactive displays to its products.
