Abstract
Benda-benda peninggalan pada masa lampau menjadi bukti penting dan sumber pengetahuan akan sejarah berdirinya suatu bangsa, sehingga harus dijaga dan dirawat agar generasi-generasi selanjutnya dapat mempelajari serta turut melestarikannya. Benda peninggalan sejarah dapat dihimpun serta dirawat melalui museum untuk kemudian dijadikan sebagai sarana edukasi bagi masyarakat.
Terletak di area wisata Goa Selomangleng Kota Kediri, Museum Airlangga merupakan salah satu museum arkeologi dan etnografi yang menyimpan ratusan koleksi benda peninggalan sebelum kerajaan Kediri hingga Majapahit dan di kelola oleh Dinas Kebudayaan, Pariwisata, Kepemudaan dan Olahraga Kota Kediri.
Berdasarkan hasil penelitian penulis menggunakan metode observasi secara langsung dan pengumpulan data kuesioner, Museum Airlangga Kediri memiliki potensi besar mengingat lokasinya berada di kawasan wisata, namun ada beberapa hal yang perlu diperhatikan untuk meningkatkan minat pengunjung dengan cara mengoptimalkan fasilitas serta memberikan suasana baru pada desain ruangan. Permasalahan tersebut dapat diselesaikan melalui konsep desain Attractive Learning untuk mengoptimalkan minat belajar sejarah dan menciptakan suasana belajar yang nyaman dengan langgam modern naturalis.

Heritage objects from the olden days are critical evidence and source of knowledge on the history of a nation’s establishment, thus the necessity of preserving and maintaining of them for the upcoming generations to learn from and carry on the preservation. Objects of historical heritage can be gathered and keep in good care by museums to then be used as educational facilities for the society.
Located in the tourism area of Selomangleng Cave of Kediri City, Airlangga Museum is one of the archeological and ethnographic with hundreds of historical heritage objects before Kediri kingdom’s until Majapahit kingdom’s and these museums managed by the Department of Culture, Tourism, Youth and Sports of Kediri City.
Results of the author’s study, in which direct observation and questionnaire data collecting were applied, Airlangga Museum has great potential considering its location in a tourist area, suggest that there are a number of matters to be considered to increase the interests of Airlangga Kediri Museum visitors. Among them are optimizing facilities and creating fresh atmosphere on the interior design. These problems can be solved through the design concept of Attractive Learning to optimize interest in learning history and create a comfortable learning atmosphere with modern natural styles.
