Abstract

PDAM Surya Sembada Kota Surabaya adalah BUMD yang mengelola penyediaan air bersih bagi masyarakat Kota Surabaya. Terdapat 3 karakteristik utama kualitas air, yaitu kekeruhan, zat organik dan sisa chlor dimana ketiga karakteristik tersebut saling berhubungan. Oleh karena itu, pengendalian proses produksi air dilakukan secara multivariat dengan diagram kendali MEWMC untuk pengendalian variabilitas proses dan diagram kendali MEWMA untuk pengendalian rata-rata proses. Pada penelitian ini, didapatkan pembobot λ optimum untuk diagram kendali MEWMC dan diagram kendali MEWMA untuk proses produksi selama musim kemarau dan musim hujan yaitu λ = 0,1. Variabilitas proses produksi selama musim kemarau dan musim hujan telah terkendali secara statistik, sedangkan rata-rata proses produksi selama musim kemarau dan musim hujan tidak terkendali secara statistik. Variabel zat organik dan sisa chlor merupakan penyebab utama rata-rata proses produksi pada musim kemarau tidak terkendali secara statistik, sedangkan pada musim hujan variabel zat organik yang menjadi penyebab utama rata-rata proses produksi tidak terkendali secara statistik. Berdasarkan analisis kapabilitas proses, diketahui bahwa proses produksi air selama musim kemarau dan musim hujan sudah kapabel dalam memproduksi air dengan tingkat kekeruhan yang sesuai dengan batas spesifikasi, namun tidak kapabel untuk memproduksi air dengan zat organik dan sisa chlor yang sesuai batas spesifikasi.

PDAM Surya Sembada Kota Surabaya is a regionally-owned enterprises that manages the supply of clean water for the people of Surabaya. There are 3 main characteristics of water quality, these are turbidity, organic substance, and chlorine residual. These three characteristics are dependent on one another. Therefore, to monitor the quality of water production process, MEWMC control chart is used for monitoring the stability of the covariance matrix of a process and MEWMA control chart is used for monitoring the stability of the mean vector of a process. In this study, the optimum λ for the MEWMC control chart and MEWMA control chart for the water production process during dry season and rainy season is λ = 0,1. The variability of water production process during both dry and rainy seasons has been statistically controlled, while the mean of water production process during both dry and rainy seasons is not statistically controlled. The organic substance and chlorine residual are the main causes of the shifts in the mean vector during dry season, whereas in the rainy season organic substance is the main cause of the shifts in the mean vector. Based on the analysis of process capability, it is known that the water production process during the dry season and rainy season is capable in producing water with turbidity level that meets the specification limit, but is not capable to produce water with organic substance and chlorine residual that matches the specification limit.
