Abstract

============================================================

The lack of attention to the potential risk of workplace accidents in the health sector can cause lost work time, reduced productivity, swelling health insurance claims and reduced ability to serve patients. Puskesmas as one of the health services has the potential risk of occupational accidents such as needles injury, slip, trip, and fall where these risk can affect the safety of patients and employees. Improving the safety behavior of puskesmas worker can be implied as an effort to reduce this potential risk. The purpose of this study is analyzing factors that can influence safety behavior in puskesmas. Variables such as behavioral habits, safety motivation, empowerment leadership, safety climate and knowledge sharing can be explored for the aims. The method used in analyzing the relationship between variables is partial least square - structural equation modelling (PLS-SEM). The study finding that safety climate is the most influential factor in safety behavior, especially in terms of management commitment and safety communication. Furthermore, the safety climate can act as full mediator between empowerment leadership and safety behavior.
