Abstract

Indonesia has a geographic location that is passed by 3 main plates of the world and passed by The Ring of Fire which causes most areas in Indonesia to frequently experience earthquakes. The latest standard of bridge planning for earthquake loads is contained in SNI-2833-2016 which has an earthquake effect that is much greater than the previous standard, namely SNI-2833-2008. Therefore, existing bridges need to be evaluated using the latest bridge standards to determine the performance level of the bridge. In this final project, ASCE 61-14 is used as a guide in the analysis of structural performance. Nonlinear Static Pushover analysis was conducted to determine the capacity of the structure to the limit of its collapse, while to determine the performance of the bridge structure against earthquake loads, a nonlinear static demand analysis was carried out based on FEMA 440 Equivalent Linearization. The structural performance evaluation was carried out on the Kenjeran Bridge Slab On Pile located in Surabaya. The results of this study indicate that for the 1000 year return period earthquake load whose spectrum is calculated based on SNI 2833-2016, the performance level of the bridge structure is Controlled and Repairable Damage which meets the minimum performance level of the bridge based on ASCE 61-14 and also known the failure pattern of the bridge. where melting occurs at the top of the pile first, then followed by a pole embedded in the ground.
