Abstract
Penyandang disabilitas di Indonesia atau yang sering juga disebut difabel, seringkali mendapat anggapan bahwa mereka adalah masyarakat yang tidak produktif, tidak mampu menciptakan karya, sehingga hak-hak sebagai manusia pun seringkali diabaikan dan dianggap remeh. Dipandang sebelah mata, kasihan, dan dianggap berbeda seringkali dirasakan oleh para penyandang di lingkungan. Meskipun difabel merupakan singkatan dari differently-able, namun menjadi difabel di tengah masyarakat yang terbiasa dengan sesuatu yang bersifat normal tetap memiliki tantangan tersendiri. Hampir di setiap fasilitas umum yang tersedia hanya sebatas untuk orang normal, tanpa memikirkan fasilitas bagi difabel. Padahal kelompok difabel juga merupakan warga negara yang memiliki hak dan kewajiban yang sama dengan warga negara lainnya.

Persons with disabilities in Indonesia or often also called disabled, often get the notion that they are unproductive communities, unable to create works, so that human rights are often ignored and underestimated. Being underestimated, felt sorry for, and considered different are often felt by persons in the environment. Although diffable stands for differently-able, being diffable in a society that is accustomed to something normal still has its own challenges. Almost every public facility available is limited to normal people, without thinking about facilities for the disabled. Even though the disabled group is also a citizen who has the same rights and obligations as other citizens.
