Abstract

Tuna daksa atau tuna anggota gerak adalah penyandang difabel yang mempunyai kelemahan di anggota gerak tubuh. Prostesis kaki atau alat bantu gerak kaki palsu merupakan salah satu alat yang dapat membantu penyandang tuna daksa karena amputasi maupun cacat bawaan lahir. SkyWalker salah satu produk unggulan yang diciptakan oleh iDIG (Integrated Digital Design Laboratory), Departemen Desain Produk ITS. Tujuan penelitian menganalisa kegagalan material, dan memodifikasi sendi lutut dari segi material agar dapat di implementasikan dalam model 3D printing.
Jenis metode numerik yang dipilih adalah metode elemen hingga yang mana Ansys 18.2 digunakan untuk menyelesaikan simulasi. parameter model diantaranya dimensi sendi lutut, material PETG, ABS dan PLA berupa poisson ratio, young modulus dan yield strength beserta grafik tensile. Perhitungan manual free body diagram pada kaki palsu untuk mendapatkan gaya-gaya. Sendi lutut dianalisa statik struktural agar mendapatkan equivalent plastic strain yang sesuai untuk di impelemantasikan pada kaki palsu.
kerusakan pada sendi lutut skywalker disebabkan material PTEG diprinting dengan orientasi 00. Posisi orientasi menyebabkan gaya yang diterima searah dengan sendi lutut sehingga mengalami kerusakan. Material ideal yang digunakan untuk sendi lutut adalah ABS orientasi 450 dengan posisi datar. Orientasi ini dianggap cocok karena memiliki nilai strain tertinggi dibandingkan material dan orientasi lainnya.

Disabilities or mobility impairments are persons with disabilities who have weaknesses in the limbs. Foot prostheses or prosthetic limbs are a tool that can help people with disabilities. SkyWalker is one of the superior products created by iDIG (Integrated Digital Design Laboratory), ITS Product Design Department. The aim of this research is to analyze the failure of the material, and modify the knee joint in terms of material so that it can be implemented in a 3D printing model.
The type of numerical method chosen is the finite element method in which Ansys 18.2 is used to complete the simulation. Model parameters include knee joint dimensions, PETG, ABS and PLA materials in the form of poisson ratio, young modulus and yield strength along with tensile charts. Manual free body diagram calculations on prosthetic limbs to get the forces. The knee joint was analyzed with structural static analysis in order to obtain the equivalent plastic strain that was suitable for implementation on the prosthetic limb.
Failure of skywalker knee joint is caused by the PTEG material being printed with an orientation of 00. The orientation position causes the force to be received in the same direction as the knee joint so that it is damaged. The ideal material to use for the knee joint is ABS 450 in a flat position. This orientation is considered suitable because it has the highest strain value compared to other materials and orientations.
