Abstract

Karakterisasi material adalah sederetan teknik analisis baik secara fisika maupun kimia untuk mengungkapkan ciri suatu material. Implan tulang merupakan suatu alat medis yang terbuat dari logam yang ditanamkan ke dalam tubuh. Fungsi dari implan untuk menggantikan struktur dan fungsi tulang.
Penelitian ini megambil data sekunder karena pada saat ini terjadi adanya pandemi COVID-19. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui suatu karakterisasi material hasil pengujian SEM. Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM) adalah sebuah mikroskop elektron yang didesain untuk menyelidiki permukaan dari objek solid secara langsung. Pengujian SEM bertujuan untuk mengetahui produk korosi maupun lapisan yang terbentuk pada permukaan material.
Hasil analisa yang didapat menunjukkan bahwa Hasil Pengujian SEM ST 41 yang dilapisi TiN dan NiCr perbesaran 5000x waktu perendaman 12 jam tidak terdapat bentuk apatit sedangkan pada perendaman 336 jam terdapat sedikit bentuk apatit pada permukaannya.

Material characterization is a series of analytical techniques both physically and chemically to reveal the characteristics of a material. A bone implant is a medical device made of metal that is implanted in the body. The function of the implant is to replace the structure and function of the bone.
This study takes secondary data because at the moment there is a COVID-19 pandemic. This study aims to determine a material characterization of SEM test results. Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM) is an electron microscope that is designed to investigate the surface of a solid object directly. SEM testing aims to determine the corrosion products and layers that form on the surface of the material.
The results of the analysis showed that SEM ST 41 Test Results coated with TiN and NiCr 5000x magnification time of immersion in 12 hours there was no apatite shape while in soaking 336 hours there was a slight form of apatite on its surface.
