Abstract

Karakterisasi minyak mentah(crude oil) dapat diketahui melalui kajian geokimia
organik. Kajian geokimia organik dilakukan berdasarkan perilaku senyawa
biomarka yang memberikan informasi mengenai komposisi bahan organik, asal –
usulnya serta tingkat kematangan minyak dalam menunjang proses
pengeksplorasian minyak. Karakterisasi geokimia organik Minyak mentah
diekstraksi dengan menggunakan pelarut n-heksana : minyak mentah (50:2)
selama 24 jam. Ekstrak yang diperoleh difraksinasi berdasarkan kepolarannya
dengan metode Kromatografi Kolom McCharty. Analisa masing-masing ekstrak
menggunakan Kromatografi Gas - Spektrometer Massa (KG-SM). Biomarka yang
diidentifikasi pada minyak mentah Juwata Tarakan meliputi 5 fraksi yaitu fraksi
Alifatik, fraksi Aromatik, fraksi Keton, fraksi Alkohol, dan fraksi Asam. Analisis
biomarka minyak mentah Juwata Tarakan memberikan beberapa informasi yaitu
minyak mentah Juwata Tarakan, Kalimantan Utara merupakan jenis minyak
mentah yang memiliki kematangan tinggi, bahan organik minyak mentah berasal
dari kontribusi tanaman tingkat tinggi Angiospermae dan damar, serta bakteri
sebagai sumber bahan organik sedimenter. Bahan organik penyusun minyak
mengalami pengendapan dan akumulasi pada lingkungan pengendapan oksidatif.

The characterization of the types of crude oil (crude oil) can be known through the
study of organic geochemistry. Organic geochemistry studies conducted by
behavioral biomarka compounds that provide information on the composition of
organic matter, the origin -usulnya and maturity level in supporting the process of
exploring oil. Characterization of organic geochemistry of crude oil extracted
using n-hexane: crude oil (50: 2) for 24 hours. The extract obtained was
fractionated by polarity with Chromatography Column McCharty. Analysis of
each extract using Gas Chromatograph - Mass Spectrometer (GC-MS).The
biomarker which will be identified on crude oil Juwata Tarakan, includes 5
fractions: Alifatic, Aromatic, Keton, Alcohol and Acid. Biomarker analysis of
crude oil Juwata Tarakan, north Kalimantan information that a type of crude oil
has a hight maturity, crudoile organic matter derived from terrestrial plants,
Angiospermae and resin damar, involving microbial activity in the process the
burial of crude oil in environmental conditions are oxic
