Abstract

Majapahit (Crescentia cujete) adalah tanaman yang berdasarkan hasil uji fitokimia daunnya mengandung senyawa metabolit sekunder yang dapat digunakan sebagai insektisida nabati. Dalam penelitian ini Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui potensi insektisida nabati dari ekstrak daun majapahit (LC50), menggunakan rancangan acak lengkap dengan 11 macam konsentrasi 0%, 5%, 10%, 15%, 20%, 25%, 30%, 35%, 40%, 45% dan 50%. Tiap perlakuan terdapat 3 kali ulangan dengan setiap perlakuan menggunakan 20 ekor larva Spodoptera litura instar 2. Metodologi yang digunakan adalah metode ekstraksi dengan maeserasi menggunakan metanol. Parameter yang diamati pada penelitian ini adalah mortalitas, berat tubuh larva, aktifitas makan larva dan juga persentase pembentukan pupa. Dalam penelitian ini didapatkan hasil bahwa ekstrak daun Majapahit (Crescentia cujete) berpotensi sebagai insektisida nabati, hasil analisis probit menunjukkan bahwa LC50 didapatkan pada konsentrasi 31,76% pada 48 jam pengamatan. Ekstrak daun Majapahit juga mempengaruhi mortalitas, berat, aktifitas makan dan juga persentase pupa Spodoptera litura

Majapahit (Crescentia cujete) is a plant based on phytochemical test results, the leaves contain bioactive compounds that can be used as a bioinsecticide. This study aims to determine the potential of plant-based insecticides majapahit leaf’s extract (LC50), using a completely randomized design with 11 different concentrations of 0%, 5%, 10%, 15%, 20%, 25%, 30%, 35%, 40% , 45% and 50%. Each treatment contained three times repetition using 20 level two Spodoptera litura larvae. The method used is the extraction by maeceration using metanol. Parameters observed in this study were mortality, larval body weight, eating activity and also the percentage of larvae pupa formation. In this study showing that the extract of Majapahit leaf (Crescentia cujete) has potential as bioinsecticide, probit analysis results showed that the LC50 obtained at a concentration of 31.76% in 48 hours of observation. Majapahit leaf extract also affect mortality, weight, eating activity and also Spodoptera litura pupae percentage
