Abstract
Dalam perencanaan kebutuhan jam orang, selama ini PT. DOK & PERKAPALAN
Surabaya selalu mendasarkan pada standar kerja galangan (kg/j.o.). Cara ini ternyata masih
banyak kelemahan dari segi produktivitas, terlihat dari kurang tepatnya waktu penyelesaian
pembangunan kapal. Dalam Tugas Akhir ini menganalisa kemungkinan penerapan Metode OLS
(Ordinary Least Square) sebagai metode alternatif dalam menghitung kebutuhan jam orang.
Blok – blok yang ada dikelompokkan ke dalam 4 tipe blok (Grand Block) berdasarkan
posisi dan tingkat kesulitan pengerjaan. Apa yang dihasilkan adalah persamaan regresi yang
dapat memperkirakan kebutuhan jam orang pembangunan blok badan kapal, dimana variabel jam
orang dijelaskan oleh y dan x adalah variabel berat blok badan kapal. Pada Tahap Fabrikasi tipe
blok After Part, persamaan yang diperoleh adalah y = 0.0126x + 39.4, untuk tipe blok Hold Part
yaitu y = 0.0104x + 55.7, Fore Part yaitu y = 0.0161x + 0.00575 dan Accomodation yaitu y =
0.0152x + 9.31. Sedangkan pada tahap Assembly secara berturut – turut persamaan yang
diperoleh adalah y = 0.0245x + 106, y = 0.0206x + 136, y = 0.0169x + 173, dan y = 0.0277x +

In the planning of man hours, during the time DOK & PERKAPALAN, PT Surabaya
always based on shipyard work standardization ( kg / man hours). In fact, this methods still has
many disadvantages especially in term of productivity. It can be seen from less precisely time of
finishing the ship building process. In this Final Project analyze possibility to apply of OLS
Methods (Ordinary Least Square) as alternative method to determine the needs of man hours.
Existing panel and blocks grouped into 4 (four) Block Type (Grand Block) based on
position and difficulty level of workmanship. What produced is equation of regression able to
estimate the need of man hours in building process of hull ship block, where man hours] variable
explained by y and x is variable weight of hull block. At Fabrication phase, for block type is
After Part, equation the obtained is y = 0.0126x + 39.4, for the block type Hold Part that is y =
