Abstract

sp. akibat proses reduksi lumpur masing-masing sebesar
6.198mg/kg atau dan 2.036mg/kg. Worm/sludge dan jenis cacing
mempengaruhi akumulasi logam Fe oleh cacing akuatik

Tubifex sp and Lumbriculus sp. sp biologically able to
accumulate metals which can occur subsequent reduction of heavy
metals in the sludge. Industrial sewage sludge processing results
often contain heavy metals, organic pollutants and pathogens. Fe
(iron) is a metal which in large quantities in the environment can
cause toxic. The result analysis levels metal in mud containing Fe
as much as 17.100 mg/kg. Improper processing can have an
impact on the environment and human health. Sludge treatment
using aquatic worms are an alternative to reduce the amount of
sludge produced from the wastewater treatment plant.
This research was conducted in laboratory scale with a
batch system. Samples of the mud comes from the results of the
installation unit on sewage treatment secondary treatment IPAL
PT. SIER wich then inserted in the reactor containing worm.
Reactor for each sample used a ratio of worm/sludge (w/s) thas is
0,4; 0,6; dan 0,8. The accumulation of metal in worms carried for
7 days with daily observations.
The results obtained from this study the amount of Fe
contained in the body of worms Tubifex sp. and Lumbriculus sp.
due to sludge reduction processes respectively at 6.198 mg/kg and
2.036 mg/kg. Worm/sludge and types of worms affecting Fe metal
accumulation by aquatic worms
