Abstract
Orifce merupakan suatu alat yang sangat penting dalam dunia
industry terutama pada industri oil n gas, dimana penggunaan orifice ini
digunakan untuk meciptakan perbedaan tekanan antara sisi upstream
dan downstream yang nantinya akan dihasilkan nilai dari pressure suatu
fluida yang masuk. Orifice Concentric yang dipakai di PT.Vico
Indonesia memiliki kelemahan yaitu rugi tekanan yang sangat besar
yang akan berakibat pada peningkatan pressure loss . Pressure loss
adalah selisih tekanan yang masuk pada sisi upstream dengan tekanan
setelah melewati sisi downstream pada orifice tersebut dan biasanya
ditunjukan melalui perbedaan tekanan yang terjadi antara upstream dan
downstream. .Slotted orifice merupakan suatu alat yang di berbagai
penelitian menunjukkan memiliki perforrma yang lebih dibandingakan
dengan standart orifice karena desaign pada plat orifice kurang
dipengaruhi oleh sisi upstream pada orifice tersebut dan menghasilkan
pressure loss yang relative kecil, pressure static bisa kembali dengan
lebih cepat ketika dibandingkan dengan orifice standart. Oleh karena itu
penelitian ini dilakukan untuk menganalisa koefisien pressure loss yang
terjadi antara orifice bertipe slotted dan concentric dengan
menggunakan softwere CFD. Dari pengamatan diperoleh nilai koefisien
pressure loss untuk orifice concentric Fe-37 nilai koefisien pressure
loss sebesar 3,54 , slotted orifice dengan variasi 5 lubang tipe FE-37
nilai koefisien pressure loss sebesar 3,48, dan slotted orifice dengan
variasi 16 lubang tipe FE-37 sebesar 3,37. Orifice concenctric tipe FE-
1602 nilai koefisien pressure loss sebesar 2,58 slotted orifice dengan
variasi 5 lubang tipe FE-1602 nilai koefisien pressure loss sebesar 2,54
dan slotted orifice dengan variasi 16 lubang tipe FE-1602 sebesar 2,43.

Orifce is a very important tool in the industry, especially in the oil
n gas industry, where the use of this orifice is used to create a whole
difference in pressure between the upstream and downstream value that
will be generated from the pressure of a fluid intake. Concentric orifice
used in PT.Vico Indonesia has the disadvantage, that it has very large
pressure losses that would result in an increase in pressure loss.
Pressure loss is the difference of incoming pressure on the upstream
side to the downstream side of the pressure after passing through the
orifice is usually shown through the difference in the pressure between
the upstream and downstream. . Slotted orifice is a tool in a variety of
studies have shown that it have a performance that is better than the
standard orifice because desaign of orifice plate are influenced by the
upstream side of the orifice and produces relatively small pressure loss,
static pressure could return more quickly than standard orifice. Desaign
to be used on slottted orifice area must have the same diameter with
concentric orifice in order to diperbandingakan, where daalm this thesis
is used as much as 5 slotted holes and 16 pieces in platenyaTherefore,
this study was conducted to analyze the pressure loss coefficient that
occurs between concentric and slotted orifice type using CFD softwere.
From the observation of pressure loss coefficient values obtained for
concentric orifice Fe-37 pressure loss coefficient value of 3.54, with a
variation of 5 slotted orifice hole FE-37 type of pressure loss coefficient
value of 3.48, and slotted orifice with a variation of 16 holes of type FE
-37 at 3.37. Orifice concenctric FE-1602 type of pressure loss
coefficient of variation of 2.58 slotted orifice with 5 holes FE-1602 type
of pressure loss coefficient value of 2.54 and slotted orifice with a
variation of 16 holes of type FE-1602 amounted to 2.43.
