Abstract
Penurunan kromium dari limbah cair industri penyamakan
kulit telah dilakukan dengan koagulan FeSO4. Optimasi dilakukan
pada limbah cair sintetis kromium 2000 mg/L dengan variasi pH
4; 5; 6; 7; 8; 9; 10; 11; 12 dan 13. Berdasarkan data hasil
penelitian didapatkan kondisi optimum pada proses koagulasi
limbah sintesis kromium yaitu dengan pH 10 dapat menurunkan
kadar kromium sebesar 99,989%. Kondisi optimum tersebut
diaplikasikan pada limbah cair industri penyamakan kulit dan
diperoleh prosentase penurunan kromium sebesar 99,963%

Reduction of chromium from tannery wastewater was
carried out by FeSO4 coagulant. Optimization of coagulation
process was used 2000 mg/L synyhetic chromium wastewater
with various pH of synthetic chromium wastewater were 4; 5; 6;
7; 8; 9; 10; 11; 12 and 13. Result of experimental showed that
optimum condition was pH 10 can reducted the chromium until
99,989%. That optimum condition applied at tannery wastewatter
and obtained the precentage reduction of chromium 99,963%
