Abstract
Indonesia merupakan salah satu Negara yang memiliki kekayaan alam yang beragam, begitu juga dengan industri kreatifnya. Banyak orang yang sekarang ini mulai berlomba untuk menggembangkan industri kreatif di Indonesia. Pemakaian material sintetis sebagai bahan baku produk dalam industri kreatif di Indonesia. Material dan pewarna tekstil sintetis memberikan perbedaan yang signifikan, yaitu lebih murah dan lebih mudah pengaplikasiannya dengan variasi bentuk dan warna yang tak terbatas. Namun dampak buruk material sintetis adalah kerusakan ekologis yang efek sampingnya dapat membahayakan kesehatan manusia. Dibutuhkan solusi alternatif dengan penggunaan material tekstil yang berasal dari serat alam dan pewarna alami lokal. Penggunaan serat alam juga berperan penting untuk melestarikan tradisi lokal nusantara. Salah satu material tekstil yang berasal dari bahan alami tradisional adalah daluang yakni material kulit kayu yang berasal dari pohon Saeh (Broussonetia Pappyryfera / Paper Mulberry). Pembuatan produk tas dengan kombinasi tekstil tradisional dengan produk modern bertujuan sebagai alternatif fashion baru. Selain itu pembuatan tas ini memiliki eksplorasi bentuk yang dihasilkan dari lipatan origami serta tekhnik pewarnaan produk yang beragam dirasa dapat menarik minat masyarakat. Hal ini diharapkan dapat memberikan pengetahuan tentang cara pengolahan material kulit kayu dan pembuatan material tekstil tradisional pada komunitas lokal serta masayarakat luas pada umumnya.

Indonesia is one country that has a diverse natural wealth, as well as its creative industry. Many people who are now start competing to develop creative industries in Indonesia. Use synthetic materials as raw material for products in the creative industries in Indonesia. Synthetic textile materials and dyes make a significant difference, which is cheaper and easier to apply with unlimited variations on shapes and colors. But the adverse effect of synthetic materials are ecological which side effects can endanger human health. Alternative solutions are needed with the use of textile materials derived from natural fibers and lokal natural dyes. Natural fiber is also to preserve the lokal traditions of the archipelago. One of the textile materials derived from natural materials is daluang, namely the bark material derived from the Saeh tree (Broussonetia Pappyryfera / Paper Mulberry). Manufacture of bag products with a combination of traditional textiles with modern products aims as a new fashions alternative. Besides that, the making of this bag has an exploration of the shape produced from origami folds and various products coloring techniques that are felt to be interest to the public. This is expected to provide knowledge on how to process bark material a manufacturing traditional textile materials to lokal’s communities and to the public in general.
