Abstract
Kasus kematian ibu adalah kasus kematian perempuan pada saat hamil
atau kematian perempuan dalam kurun waktu 42 hari sejak terminasi
kehamilan. Sedangkan kasus kematian bayi adalah kasus kematian bayi
yang terjadi antara saat setelah bayi lahir sampai bayi belum berusia
tepat satu tahun. Hingga tahun 2012 Provinsi Jawa Timur belum
mampu mencapai target MDGs penurunan kematian ibu dan anak.
Jumlah Kematian ibu dan Jumlah kematian bayi merupakan dua hal
yang saling berkorelasi dan termasuk peristiwa yang dikategorikan
kedalam variabel diskrit dan berdistribusi poisson oleh karena itu
penelitian tentang jumlah kematian ibu dan bayi telah banyak dilakukan
dengan menggunakan regresi poisson. Regresi Bivariat Poisson adalah
metode pemodelan terbaik terhadap kasus jumlah kematian ibu dan bayi
Hasil dari penelitian ini yaitu pada model bivariat poisson untuk
variabel jumlah kematian ibu variabel yang signifikan mempengaruhi
adalah variabel persentase tenaga kesehatan, sedangkan pada variabel
jumlah kematian bayi variabel-variabel prediktor yang signifikan
adalah persentase tenaga kesehatan, persentase persalinan oleh tenaga
kesehatan, persentase ibu hamil melaksanakan program K4, persentase
rumah tangga ber-PHBS, persentase ibu hamil mendapatkan tablet Fe3,
persentase wanita berstatus kawin dibawah 20 tahun, dan persentase
peserta KB aktif

Maternal mortality is the deaths of women during pregnancy or
within 42 days from the termination of pregnancy. Infant
mortality that uccured between the time after the baby born until
has not been exactly one year old. Unti 2012, infant mortality and
maternal mortality in east java still have not reached MDGs
target. The number of maternal mortality and the number of
infant mortality are two things that are correlated and includes
cases that are categorized into discrete variables and Poisson
distribution. Therefore many researches about maternal mortality
and infant mortality in east java have been resolved using poisson
regression model. Bivariate poisson regression is the best method
for modeling maternal mortality and infant mortality. The results
of this study are variables that significantly have effects on
maternal mortality using bivariate poisson regression is
percentage of health professionals. Variable that significantly has
effect on infant mortality are percentage of health professionals,
percentage of giving birth by healthy professionals, percentage of
pregnant women carry K4 program, percentage of PHBS
household, percentage of pregnant women get Fe3 tablets,
percentage of women are married under 20 years, and
percentage of active participants KB.
