Abstract
Semakin mahalnya harga BBM (Bahan Bakar Minyak)
untuk bahan bakar water pump, membuat BBM tidak lagi efisien.
Sebagai langkah awal konversi adalah mengubah sistem
pemasukkan bahan bakar bensin pada water pump, dalam hal ini
water pump CS4 123 cc yang awalnya berbahan bakar bensin
mencoba dibandingkan dengan full LPG.
Dalam melakukan perbandingan unjuk kerja water pump
engine cs4 123 cc berbahan bakar bensin dan LPG menggunakan
Lotus Engine Simulation (LES), maka diperlukan spesifikasi
water pump engine kohler cs4 yang didapat darimanual book dari
pabrik. Kemudian spesifikasi yang telah didapat di input kedalam
software tersebut sehingga bisa didapat hasil data Brake Power,
Brake Torque, Brake Mean Effective Presure (BMEP), Brake
Spesifik Fuel Consumption(BSFC), dan Volumetric Efficiency.
Setelah dilakukan simulasi dan verifikasi perbandingan
unjuk kerja engine cs4 123 cc berbahan bakar bensin pada
keadaan stoikiometri gasoline 14,6 dan LPG pada keadaan
stoikiometri 15,5. Performa engine berbahan bakar LPG dapat
dimaksimalkan dengan cara pengaturan AFR pada keadaan
stoikiometri LPG yaitu 12 dan pengaturan ignition timing 10
BTDC. Dengan pengaturan tersebut unjuk kerja mengalami
kenaikan dengan kenaikan brake torque +3.5 %, brake power
+3.6 %, BMEP +4.8 % dan penurunan sebesar BSFC -2,17 %.
