Abstract

Penggunaan balok baja dengan menggunakan castellated
beam selain dapat mengurangi biaya konstruksi dan membuat
bahan menjadi lebih ringan jika dibanding dengan profil dengan
dimensi yang sama, juga akan membuat momen inersia dan
section modulus yang lebih besar, sehingga mampu memikul
momen yang lebih besar dan tegangan ijin yang lebih kecil.
Tugas Akhir ini difokuskan untuk menganalisa perbandingan
model keruntuhan bukaan castellated beam, dengan dua jenis
bentuk bukaan yaitu circular dan hexagonal antara solid beam
IWF 250.125.6.9, IWF 400.200.8.13 dan IWF 450.200.9.14 yang
sebelumnya telah direncanakan menjadi castellated beam. Hasil
pemodelan dan analisa keruntuhan balok castellated beam
menyimpulkan bahwa balok dengan bukaan hexagonal memiliki
kekakuan yang lebih baik dari pada balok dengan bukaan
circular pada sampel yang sama, hal ini ditunjukan dengan
perbedaan nilai persentase tegangan sebesar 5,126% dan
defleksi 7,852% pada balok circular castellated beam

The use of steel beams using a castellated beam in addition
to reducing the construction cost and make the material becomes
lighter when compared to the profiles with the same dimensions,
also will make the moment of inertia and section modulus
greater, so as to bear a greater moment and the allowable stress
smaller. This final project is focused on analyzing of the failure
model comparison openings castellated beam, with two types of
forms are circular and hexagonal openings between the solid
beam IWF 250.125.6, IWF 400.200.8.13 and IWF 450.200.9.14
which previously had been planned to be a castellated beams.
The results of the modeling and failure analysis of castellated
beams beam concluded that beams with hexagonal openings have
better stiffness of the beam with circular openings on the same
sampel, it is indicated by the difference of percentage value of the
tension is 5.126% and deflection value is 7.852% on the circular
castellated beams
